It's OFFICIAL...Happy Dino-Winter Month 2022!!!  

We made it here, once 'gain! TRULY a VERY special time of year, my friends. Soak it in!  

So...how's the holiday season treatin' youse' so far? 

Gettin' some Christmas shoppin' done? 

Deckin' the halls? 

Haulin' out that ol' holly & all that fun stuff? 

I knows it can get tirin', pallies. It can wear youse down to the bone...if youse let it! Make sure youse take a breather every now & then! 

'Member what the month is REALLY all 'bout...Celebratin' our DINO!!! Hahaha!!! Among other obvious thins'... of course...this month is to REALLY soak in that Dino vibe. REALLY listen to what he is tellin' us... & REALLY follow in his GREAT GREAT footsteps. Relax. Be cool, baby. Let thins' roll off your shoulder, pallie. Life's too damn short to sweat the little thins'! 

Well...I thinks it's been 'nough time since we had an EXTRA special Serenade. How's 'bout a wee bit o "Duetin' with Dino"?! 

Yes! Thinks we could ALL use some "EXTRA SPECIALNESS" rights 'bout now! 

Seems to me...there's really only ONE jam that TOTALLY gets this month swingin'! And...there's only TWO cool cool cats that can swing on it together! Of course I is referrin' to "Marshmallow World" by Dean & Frank! Likes no other duet known to man has ever entertained the masses SO SO feverishly, pals! Haha!!  

AMEN! 

Now I know it STILL isn't very marshmallowy out there, yet...& I ain't complainin'...but what better way to ring in Dino-Winter Month?!  It DEF I NATE LY gets me in the holiday spirit & DEF I NATE LY keeps me in that  Wintery Dino-vibe!

How was your day of Givin' Dino-thanks? Mellow? Hectic? Down sized? Full sized? Well,palles...whichever way youse decided to go...I bet youse is STILL dealin' with a mess! Haha!! Yup. Either takin' down the turkey decorations or puttin' away your best boozy punch bowl...it's a lotta work.

Here we go! We is 'bout to jump into the most wonderful time of the year & it's comin' up quick! 

Such a Fun & Crazy time, my friends! I AB SO LUTE LY love it & soaks in every single Dino-drippin' second! The whole thin', mi amici! The snow! The Christmas lights! The gift givin' & receivin'! Obviously, the tunes! I loves it ALL! 

Every Crazy Chaotic nuance of December is such fun to me...I just can't help but to thinks of Dino! He's all 'round us this time of year! The markets...the malls...the radio & on T.V.! It's positively INVIGORATIN'...hearin' & seein' our main dude... in all this Christmassy abundance! Haha!! 

Now, as our fearless leader, DMP, would say..."Youse just don't know WHERE Dino will pop up next!" And as our great great friend, Ms. AOW, commented a few years back..."He still seems so alive!" It's true, pallies! It's actually hard to believe he's been gone all these years! Just goes to show...once 'gain...that legends like Dean, never disappear. Never fade away. He will ALWAYS be with us, mi amici! Just like anyone who really mattered in our lives...Dino will live, through us, forever! 

So, my fellow Dino-holics...allow me to start an early kick off to Dino-Winter Month 2022!

I thinks bout' ALL the different ways Dino helps me ALL year long, & I am SO SO greatful! 

Makes EVERYDAY SO SO much brighter! SO SO much funner! SO SO much more meaningful to me! REALLY makes me appreciate the MANY MANY ways I've been blessed. 

Yup...he's my main man, pallies! 

Anyways, mi amici...I thinks I'll kick off this Cool Cool holiday seasonal Serenade with my usual Cool Cool "pre-holiday" seasonal Dino-jam! "Canadian Sunset". It just gets me in the right frame of mind, for what's headin' our way! ...CHAOS!!! Hahaha!!! Just kiddin' , pals. It's a great time of year to REALLY look at anythin' & everythin' good in our lives & be appreciative.

Youse gettin' mentally prepped for the upcomin' Turkey feast? Yea, my friends...I guess we's can start thinkin' 'bout it now. Only a week & a half away. 

Time to gather with family & friends & celebrate all that is good in our lives. 

Time to start the blowin' & rakin', too! Ugh. 

DEF I NATE LY not one of my fave outdoor activities! Haha!! 

O well, mi amici. Least we got our main man, Dean, to bring along! Won't be so bad with some cool cool...Fall type Dino-tunes...flowin' in my ear. Youse know the kind I mean...dont'cha, pals? Well...let me pick us a jam to get that flow started. 

Hmmmm. Maybe I could stick with "The Dean Martin Show" al b um. That one never leaves my turntable, it seems. 

There's a few perfecto picks for a day like this...in a month like this...& for a job like this.

I grabbed this BEA U TI FUL little number off Dino's 1959 al b um "Sleep Warm". Which...by the ways...was put to vinyl with the help of his bestest pallie, Frankie, conductin'. Cool Cool stuff, mi amici! 

"Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" is SURE to LIFT those dreary hearts & shoo away those cloudy & gray Pre-Holiday moods. Can't help but be happy hearin' Dean weave his spell! Magical is the ONLY way I can thinks to describe it, pallies!

Man o man... I gots to admit...I'm REALLY a nut for this whole spooky season! 

Love the decorations, the scary movies, the ghosts & goblins...you name it! If it's Halloweeny...I'm diggin' it! 

Now, I was havin' a bit of a problem comin' up with the perfecto tune for the first week of this Cooly Creepy month's Sunday Serenade, pals. I wanted to incorporate the spooky, cooky, eerie & scary feel with our numero uno swoonin' crooner! WOW...that was a mouth full! Haha!!  

Anyways, pals...I musta summoned the ghost of Dean himself...cuz all of a sudden... it hit me! "Blue Moon"!

Summer just HATES to go, I guess!

I just LOVE the spooky vibe in the air from now 'til Halloween! 

Truth be told...I loves September! The weather is still comfy & a break from the heat isn't so bad either. Hey...now that I thinks 'bout it, pals... I actually can't wait for the Autumn solstice...that means Fall in British. Haha!! 

'Nother cool cool occasion is comin' soon as well. This week was the birthday of a VERY special someone to Danny G...who just so happens to be a GIGANTIC Dino-holic!

Happy Labor Day Weekend! 

Happy September, too! 

Today feels like a GREAT day to catch our breaths. Don't it?  It's a day to chill out...have a drink...& just relax! 

Monday's day off is a time to honor ALL the GREAT GREAT folks who work every day & do their part to contribute to this GREAT GREAT country of ours! Youse keep the machine runnin', pallies! 

Now...we ALL have our job to do, my friends. From police & firemen & women...to bartenders...to stay-at-home moms & dads. Each one is important & is worthy of praise. 

Well, pals...I can think of a VERY VERY COOL COOL HARD WORKIN' fella...goes by the name "Dino". This was one laborin' kinda guy, my friends! Sure, he made it look it easy. But...Dean was one of the BUSIEST cats in the entertainment world, pallies! From performin' live & recordin' albums...to makin' movies & doin' TV shows...He was some kinda work-aholic! Haha!! 

People can say that he was lazy & only played golf...but WE knows the facts, mi amici! 

I have one more VERY special somebody in mind today, pals. Mama mia. My mom. Mama G.! It was her birthday yesterday! Yay, Mom! 

She was/is ALWAYS there for ol' Danny G., even when I was actin' like a fool! Haha!! Which was quite often, pals! Hahaha!!! 

Now THAT'S Labor! Ha! 

She's sacrificed a lot for me & ALWAYS has my back. Not to mention...was one of the first to introduce me to the sweet sweet sound...of the voice...that is Dean Martin!  

I thinks I will play one of her all time FAVE Dino-tunes for this week's Serenade, my friends. As I likes to do every year... "In the Misty Moonlight". 

It's sure to bring a happy thought of Mama G. & is a cool cool jam to relax to on this chilled-out kind of day.

Keep the Dino-ball rollin' with nother' hot & sultry SWOON by the One & ONLY King of CROON! Haha!!

Oh Well...either way pals...this week's Serenade, "Once In A While",  is nother' one of those great, great Summertime tunes...that REALLY heats thins' up & at the same time is sure to calm & relax your very soul! 

I just am So So sure...that it set the mood on many a moonlit,  balmy night, in good ol' Stu'ville...for many young lovers! Hahaha!!!  

I can picture a young...suave...Dino Crocetti serenadin' some lucky young chicalina with this very tune!

Summer ain't over yet, my friends! We gots PLENTY of HOT HOT days ahead! Simply add a little Dino-croonin' to the mix...& thins' will keep on SIZZLIN'!

The heat is finally lettin' up 'round my neck o' the woods! 

Not a minute to soon either, mi amici! I felt like I've been meltin'!

I don't likes to squawk...'cause I know some spots are MUCH worse than my 90s...but man o man, pallies...it's been bloody HOT!!! Haha!!  

Anyways...thins' is coolin' off. For the time bein', at least. 

So...palsies o' mine...youse know how I ALWAYS says that Dino's "French Style" al b um, just seems to go SO SO well with the Springtime season? Well, my friends...it just so happens that our bestest of best bro, Dino, also has us a swingin' piece o' vinyl that is simply PER FEC TO for the hot & humid...sweaty & sultry, dog days o' Summer!

Man...I thinks this crazy world has finally gots to me! 

I've found myself babblin'...on & on...incoherently...all week! Hahaha!!! Maybe my brain is gettin' a wee bit toasted, pals! Haha!! Actually...PICKLED would be more appropriate! Ha! 

OK...'nough foolishness. Let's talk a little bit 'bout what WAS & let's get to the Dino-tunes! 

Now, pallies...I simply HAD to use this week's COOL COOL Dino-jam for today's Serenade! 

It's for a sad event that I thinks 'bout & share, here at our Dino-blog, every year. 

Thursday, August 4th, marked the very unpleasant anniversary of the passin' of a very special lady...a very special girl-pallie of our Dino's. Marilyn Monroe.  

It's been 60 years since she took her final bow. Shame, pals. Was a fun & talented young soul. 

But...I believe in celebratin' what WAS...rather than cryin' over what WASN'T. 

"Buttercup A Golden Hair" is set to her & our pals flick, that never came to be..."Something's Got to Give". It featured Dino alongside a very lovely & naked Marilyn! Haha!! Fresh! Looks like it would have been a FUN FUN Dino-flick for sure! Such a shame it just wasn't meant to be, my friends. 

They both looked so good in this vid & youse could see the chemistry & friendship they shared. Bittersweet to watch, pallies. 

BUT...let's be thankful for what's we got's, pals! A Great Great tune & vid that's PERFECTO for a Great Great Summer night!
