Today's Dino-devotion may very very well be the most unusual post likes that we here at ilovedinomartin have ever shared in remembrance of our most beloved Dino's day of landin' on the earth. From the holiday blog, "merry holidays - the ultimate Christmas countdown," we share "Dean Martin Day."
Posted by some fella who tags themselves "Lazarus," likes this is the first birthday homage of our Dino that contains a wintery seasonal twist. The post proudly proclaims, "It is Universal Dean Martin Day of Christmas" and features a powerful pix of our Dino croonin' on one of his seasonal shows 'long with the vid clip of our Dino and company croonin' our fav Dino-winter-tune, "It's A Marshmallow World."
While the post includes just a few details 'bout our great man's great life and times and teachin', it does contain somethin' that we have never ever read before....."Known more for his non-Christmas stuff it is reported that the only Dean Martin album actually played in the Dean Martin home was The Dean Martin Christmas Album." We find that a very very cool thought indeed!
Likes we here at ilovedinomartin are always on the look out for new and imaginative ways that our Dino is bein' honored, and likes today's is just so cool in those ways. We salute "Lazarus" and all the pallies at

Dean Martin Day
AUTHOR Lazarus
DATE June 7, 2014
Today is Saturday, June 7th, 2014 and there are only 201 days left until Christmas. And being a Saturday…there are just 29 Saturdays left until Christmas.
It is Universal Dean Martin Day of Christmas. Born on this day in 1917, Dino Paul Crocetti would one day become the King of Cool. Martin had a storied career in nightclubs, movies and as a recording artist who made his mark with just two Christmas albums. Known more for his non-Christmas stuff it is reported that the only Dean Martin album actually played in the Dean Martin home was The Dean Martin Christmas Album. Dino’s versions of A Marshmallow World and Baby, It’s Cold Outside have endured in the minds of Christmas enthusiasts the world over.
Celebrating other things today is just part of the early summer season — such as National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Fitting for June, don’t you think?
Today is also Turtle Races Day, Daniel Boone Day, National Trails Day and, for those in a throwback mode, VCR Day.
