Scotty's Sharin': Dean Martin in the Movie 'Cannonball Run II' 1984 (Gif)

My Photo

Hey pallies, likes our deeply devoted to Dino pallie Scotty-o is likes at it 'gain dudes! In a recent post at his coolest of cool blog "BlueisKewl" Scotty posted a funky 'n fun gif of our most beloved Dino taken from our main man's last big screen performance in "Cannonball Run II."

It's one of our most fav Dino-moments from the flick where our Dino's cradlin' his ever present Kent cigarette and a bottle of J&B in one hand and in his other hand a glass ready for pourin'.   As we recall, our King of Cool is feelin' some pressure, so as you will see below, after lookin' 'round a bit,  our Dino simply takes some J&B straight from the bottle.

While no one coulda classify this "Cannonball" as a classic flick, it does contain some beautiful brillant moments of actin' by our Dino.  In addition to the moment that our Scotty has shared with us, one of our other fav moments is when our Dino is supposed to be mixin' a batch of martinis for himself and his amore in the bedroom, but when it comes into the bedroom the martini glasses are empty and our Dino quips "When I make a dry martini, I make a dry martini."

We salute our ever-growin'-in-Dino pallie Scotty for his ever faithful search for more and more Dino to share at his blog showin' his deepest of deep devotion to our Dino.  How thrillin' to see how much Scotty has grown in his love of our Dino in less then a year of postin' Dino-treasure.  Keeps it up dude!  To view this in it's original format, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-gram.  Dino-always, ever, and only, DMP

Cannonball Run II is a 1984 American comedy film featuring Burt Reynolds and an all-star cast, released by Warner Bros. and Golden Harvest. Like the original Cannonball Run, it is a set around an illegal cross-country race.

The film received eight Golden Raspberry Award nominations at the 1984 Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor, and Worst Actress, but no wins.

This was the last of the "formula" comedies for Reynolds. It is also marked the final feature film appearances of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. Their appearances, coupled with those of Sammy Davis, Jr. and Shirley MacLaine, marked the final on-screen appearance of the old Rat Pack team.
