Just tryin' to set the stage here, pallies. After all, mi amici...Halloween is gettin' EERILY close & the vibe is in the air now. Vampires, Werewolves & all the creatures of the night are gettin' ready to get down at the closest Monstery Bash! Haha!! 

Now, my little Dino-diggin' grave diggers...speakin' of thins' that go bump in the night...Every year I cants' help but picturin' our main man dressin' up as the creepy Count himself! Yes, pals! He's definitely gots the right look for it. Tall, Dark & Devilishly handsome. Definitely gots the suave coolness for it. And  AB SO LUTE LY would have NO problemo pickin' up vampy-type chicks for his vampy-type brides! Hahaha!!! 

So...let's picture this. 

Count Dino is layin' 'round his castle. Bored. Lonely. Wantin' for some company of the female type. Yea, sure...he's got his un-dead ladies of the night. But their so lame these days. "Mezza morta!"..."Half dead!" Ha! What our Cool Cool Count is cravin'...is some action! Some hot blood pumpin' through some feisty chicalinas veins!

October of 2011 was when I first started postin' my Sunday Serenades with Dino. 

Our Great leader, DMP, gave me the invitation & I jumped at the opportunity! 

Seriously cants' even believe I've had the privilege of doin' them for 12 WON DER FUL years now! I TRULY wants' to express how much I enjoy writin' my deep deep thoughts 'bout life... through the eyes of a Dino-holic… Haha... & at the same time...spreadin' the Dino-message! I very humbly thank youse for your weekly interest in my insanity! 

Haha!! 

Now, pallies...let's get to this week's Serenade! 

So, October is DEF I NATE LY one of my FAVE months of the whole entire year, pals. This is a fact. 

But...I'm thinkin'...some of youse may still be in "Seasonal shock" & goin' through Summer withdrawals! The Fall kinda crept up on us this year. Therefore, pals o' mine...I thinks' I is gonna keep thins' REAL mellow & O so soothin'! 

Thinks I got just what youse need. 

It's calm...it's tranquil...it's...well...IT"S PURE DINO!!! Haha!

Man o man... I gots to admit it...I become TRULY nutty this spooky kooky time of year, pals! I cants' help it! I just LOVE the decorations, the scary movies, the ghosts & goblins...you name it! If it's Halloweeny...I'm diggin' it! Hahaha!!!

So, mi amici...I was havin' a bit of a problem comin' up with the perfecto tune for the first Sunday Serenade of this Cooly Creepy month. 

I wanted to incorporate the eerie scariness... with our numero uno GHOULISH' crooner! WOW...that was a mouth full! Haha!!  Anyways, pals...I musta summoned the ghost of Dean himself...'cause all of a sudden... it hit me! "Blue Moon"! 

I just looked out my window last night & there it was! A gloriously...devlishly...Dino-fied Harvest moon! Half covered by clouds & glowin' like a giant lightbulb. 

Now, I don't know 'bout youse...But I can't thinks' of ANYTHIN' that gives me more of a thrill... & a FUN FUN chill... than a BIG...BRIGHT...lunar vision...on a COOL COOL October night! Haha!! I LOVES it, pallies!

I'm thinkin' if we can gets' 'nough Dino-tunes flowin' this nippy weather season...we should be able to keep that "warm & fuzzy" glow uh-glowin' right through to Spring!

OK...so here's what we is gonna do. Seein' how Saturday is the last day of September...& creepy spooky October is comin' up next...I thinks we should EASE into the cool cool days headin' our ways, with a "nice n' easy" Dino-tune. How's 'bout somethin' off Dean's "The Dean Martin TV Show" vinyl masterpiece? Yes!

I knows of a jam that will relax us right into this fantastic frenzy of foliage headin' our way, mi amici! 

This week's Serenade, "Baby Won't You Please Come Home?", is just what the doctor ordered! It's calm & soothin' & is SURE to light the fires that will keep us warm. 

Now , I don't know 'bout youse guys...but I'm gonna go pour me some of that "Fall supply" vino...& heat this beautiful mornin' up! I is feelin' a little chill in the air. Haha!!

 Well well well...Here we are...once 'gain, my friends...windin' down our Sunday Serenades of Summer. 

Man! Time TRULY does fly! 

We biddin' a due to 'nother BEA U TI FUL sunny season & lookin' ahead to cooler breezes & shorter days.  

Hope youse JAM-PACKED these last few months with Summer fun & ALL THINS' DINO! Haha!! I'm sure youse did, pals. We're Dino-holics...that's what we do! Ha! 

Hard to believe, just the same. 

Time to trade in the pool swimmin' & sun-bakin' for apple pickin' & leaf-rakin'! Rakin'...Yuck! Haha!! 

Only a week or so left...& Autumn will be sneakin' in. Catches us when we leasts expects it!  We'll be ready though, pallies! We gonna store as MUCH summery memories as possible...keeps ALL those SWINGIN' Dino-tunes in mind... create a "go-to" section in our brains that will be  COM PLETE LY STUFFED with warm Dino thoughts! Ha! 

Dino-tunes & cookouts... Dino-tunes & fireworks... Dino-tunes & walks on the beach...O...did I mention the tunes? Yea...I did. Haha!! 

Well, mi amici...seems pretty obvious to me...that there's only ONE very special croon that can keep ALL these very special memories simmerin' on low...'til next year. 

"The Things We Did Last Summer", will be that life-line we can reach for when thins' get a wee bit too tough to bare...when the chilly weather seems to be hangin' 'round a little too long...when we find ourselves longin' for a sunny day & a yummy drink in the shade!

 Welcome back, all my hard workin' amici! 

Happy Labor Day Weekend! 

Happy September, too! 

Today feels like a GREAT day to catch our breaths. Don't it?  It's a day to chill out...have a drink...& just relax! 

Monday's day off is a time to honor ALL the GREAT GREAT folks who work every day & do their part to contribute to this GREAT GREAT country of ours! Youse keep the machine runnin', pallies! 

Now...we ALL have our job to do, my friends. From police & firemen & women...to bartenders...to stay-at-home moms & dads. Each one is important & is worthy of praise. 

Well, pals...I can think of a VERY VERY COOL COOL HARD WORKIN' fella...goes by the name "Dino". This was one laborin' kinda guy, my friends! Sure, he made it look it easy. But...Dean was one of the BUSIEST cats in the entertainment world, pallies! From performin' live & recordin' albums...to makin' movies & doin' TV shows...He was some kinda work-aholic! Haha!! 

People can say that he was lazy & only played golf...but WE knows the facts, mi amici! 

I have one more VERY special somebody in mind today, pals. Mama mia. My mom. Mama G.! It's her birthday today! Yay, Mom! 

She was/is ALWAYS there for ol' Danny G., even when I was actin' like a fool! Haha!! Which was quite often, pals! Hahaha!!! 

Now THAT'S Labor! Ha! 

She's sacrificed a lot for me & ALWAYS has my back. Oh, and btw...Mom was one of the first to introduce me to the sweet sweet sound...of the voice...that is Dean Martin!

Hey, pals...if I gots to be honest though...Summer is hot & fun & I really dig the beach goin'...BUT...I'm kinda anticipatin' the Fall season! As youse all know...I AB SO LUTE LY love that "spooky" vibe in the air! Haha! We'll gets more into that stuff soon. 

Hey pallies...I'm not sure if the end of the month is bringin' some swingin' & singin' at some jammin' cook outs or movin' boxes into some college dorm room. Either way, pals...I know thins' might get a wee bit hectic. I'm bettin' we could ALL use a little serenity.  

For today's Serenade, thinks' I'm gonna ask our BESTEST pal, Dean, to start windin' this Summery season down with some COOL COOL & VERY laid back croonin'. "Fools Rush In' should set the Dino-mood so so PER FEC TO!

Welcome back! 

Ahhh...that GREAT GREAT time of year is here, mi amici! Italian food...Happy people...Dancin' kiddies...& more Dino than youse can absorb in just one FANTASTICO weekend! 

Yup...youse guessed it...It's "Italian Festival"  season, here in good ol' New England! 

That bloody virus brought thins' to a screaming' halt for awhile, pallies. But...they is back! 

Man o man...I just can't thinks of a more PERFECTO way to celebrate these summery days...than to soak up these SWINGIN' SINGIN' vibes...down at the local festival with all my Dino-lovin', neighborhood pals! My paisani! 

OK...I better chill with the "Italian" thin'. It's makin' me wanna pour up the vino...& it's only 8:00am!!! Haha!!

I think it's much much more than just appropriate...it's well deserved & a MUST I do 'nother SPECIAL "Duetin' with Dino", featurin' Tony B. 

He's the last of a bygone era, in my humble opinion, pallies. 

Guys like Tony, Dino, Frank...just aren't singers...they are TRUE legends! 

The kinda men that seem to be harder & harder to find these days. True gentlemen. Class acts that the world could use a lot more of. 

But...let's not be blue, pals! 

Instead...here at our crazy little blog...let's celebrate Tony & Dino! Swingin' together & havin' fun!

The only thin' I is missin'...And I means the ONLY thin'...is some Fun Fun & Sexy cool Matt Helm flicks! I haven't come 'cross any, this whole swingin' season! What gives?! 

Now, pals...your probably gonna ask..."Danny G...don't youse own "The Matt Helm Lounge" dvd's?!" And I is gonna answer..."OB VI OUIS LY, pallies!" But...here's the thin', mi amici. It's just SO SO much more thrillin'...& excitin'...& hysterically zany...when ALL us Dino-holics can watch together!

So...All that bein' said...I thinks I have a solution. For this week's swingin' Summertime Serenade... I not only picked Dean's TOTALLY hip pool party type jam, "Marina"...I also found it set to my FAVE of FAVE Helm flicks, The Silencers" for a vid!

The gods have come together to create this one, pallies! 

Marina + Silencers = TOTAL SUMMERTIME FUN!!! 

Dino is lookin' GREAT & bein' funny & silly as ever in this! Haha!! Just his facial expressions alone get me rollin'! LOL!!! 

Our pal & Ms. Stella Stevens play off each other to perfection...& not to mention the HOT couple Dean & Ms. Daliah Lavi make! Man o' man!!!

Well, mi amici...looks like we all made it through ALL the SPECIAL days! Man! Patriots Day! Mothers Day! Fathers Day! Memorial Day! Indepenence Day! Wow! Am I missin' any?! Haha!! 

Anyway...It's nice to see we all made it safely through 'nother firecrackin' celebration! A time to party for our independence! Independence to crank up MUCHO Dino-tunes, that is! Haha!! 

Now...I say it's 'bout time we REALLY kick off this Summer! 

Time to break out those "o-so-mellow" Dino tracks! 

Youse know the one's I mean, pals. The "sit back & melt into your seat" jams. 

These hot & muggy days can be physically & mentally drainin', my friends. We need Dino-replenishin'!

It truly gives me such a COOL COOL vibe sharin' these COOL COOL tunes with my fellow Dino-holics. Week after week...month after month...& year after year! TRULY inspires me to keep the Dino-flow flowin' & keep the Dino-movement growin'!

Well pallies...I thinks this week's firecrackin' Serenade is worthy of some easy goin' & laid back Summertime jams...don't youse?! 

Found us some COOL COOL tunes for these HOT HOT days from two of THE mostest easy goin' laid back dudes that I've EVER seen in ALL my years!!! Time for a little "Duetin' with Dino" with one of Dean's very good pals & earliest vocal style IN SPI RA TIONS..."The Bing!" 

Man these two cats REALLY can croon & REALLY do understand what's TRULY important in life...ENJOYIN" IT!!! We should ALL take some notes from Dino & Bing in this vid! Relax. Don't stress. Life's WAY too short to sweat the little stuff pals.
