Hey pallies, likes for us it is always always remarkably refreshin' to make return visits to blogs where we have previously shared deep deep devotion to our Dino.  Likes, we were hugely hopin' that we woulda find Dino-devotees that have been featured here  before makin' excellent efforts to coolly celebrate the centennial of our most beloved Dino's descent to earth on June 7, 1917.

Likes today we are thrilled to share awesome adulation from the pen of Mr. Terence Towles Canote from his beautiful blog tagged "A SHROUD OF THOUGHTS - DEDICATED TO POP CULTURE IN ALL ITS FORMS."  A quartet of times, once in 2009 and thrice in 2016 we are been totally totally thrilled to share Dino-scribin's from Mr. Canote, and his post "The 100th Anniversary of Dean Martin's Birth" is, to our way of Dino-thinkin' his best effort yet!  Youse can read Terence other Dino-offerin'   HERE, and HERE, and  HERE, and  HERE.

We coulda writes tons 'n tons of terrific thin's 'bout this absolutely-sold-out-to-Dino pallie's wonderfully wise words of his awesome admiration for our most most beloved Dino, but that woulda simply delay all youse Dino-philes from jumpin' in and immersin' yourselves in these solemnly swank scribin's.  Likes, let just say that Terence does an absolutely awesome job of retellin' the Dino-story with lots of lovin' and sharin' delightful details that are often left out.  But, what has melted our Dino-hearts is when Mr. Canote speaks of his fam and his personal powerfully potent devotion to our one and only Dino.  Just knowin' that Terence even dreamed of our Dino the night before he proudly posted these touchin' 'n tender thoughts, is so so special and has marvelously moved us in our deepest of deepest delight in our King of  Cool.

Likes pallies, words of appreciato could never reasonably reflect our thanksgiving for Mr. Terence Towles Canote and his love of our most beloved Dino, so we will simply say thank you very much Mr. Canote!  To checks this out in it's original source, likes simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-gram.

The 100th Anniversary of Dean Martin's Birth

I think it is safe to say that my family were Dean Martin fans. When I was little every Thursday night my father would pop popcorn, we would open sodas, and we would gather around the television set to watch The Dean Martin Show. We watched his movies as well, everything from the films he made with former partner Jerry Lewis to the ones he made with such stars as Frank Sinatra and John Wayne. My family may not have agreed on everything, but we were united in our love for Dean Martin. Indeed, Dean Martin has remained one of my favourite performers to this day. It was 100 years ago today that Dino was born.

Dean Martin was born Dino Paul Crocetti in Steubenville, Ohio on June 7 1917. His parents were Italian immigrants, and young Dino did not speak English until he began attending school when he was 5 years old. As a teenager he began playing drums. When he was in 10th grade he dropped out of Stebenville High School and worked a variety of jobs, from being a croupier in a speakeasy to working in a steel mill. He also sang with local bands, billing himself as "Dino Martini". He got his big break when he began singing with  the Ernie McKay Orchestra. In the early 1940s he started singing with Sammy Watikins's band. It was Mr. Watkins who suggested he change his stage name to "Dean Martin".

Dean Martin's singing career would be interrupted in 1944 when he was drafted into the United States Army. He served for a year in Akron, Ohio, but was eventually given a medical discharge because of a double hernia. After leaving the Army Dean Martin returned to singing. He was doing well enough performing in clubs on the East Coast that he attracted the attention of both MGM and Columbia Pictures, although neither signed him to a contract at the time. It was in 1945 that Dean Martin met comedian Jerry Lewis at the Glass Hat Club in New York City, where they were both performing. The two made their debut as a comedy team at the 500 Club in Atlantic City on July 25 1946.

Martin and Lewis's first performance was not particularly well received. The two then threw out their scripted gags in favour of improvisation. They soon proved to be very popular at the 500 Club, so much so that they were in demand all along the East Coast. It was not long before  the team began appearing on television and radio. Martin and Lewis appeared on the very first edition of Toast of the Town, later retitled The Ed Sullivan Show. They got their own radio show on NBC, The Martin and Lewis Show, which ran from April 1949 to July 1953. They appeared on such television shows as Texaco Star TheatreThe Saturday Night Revue, and The Colgate Comedy Hour. Naturally, Hollywood took notice of the team. In 1949, the same year that their radio show debuted, Paramount signed Martin and Lewis to a contract. Making their film debut in My Friend Irma in 1949, Martin and Lewis appeared in several movies until 1956, including At War With the Army (1950), Scared Stiff (1953), and Artists and Models (1955).

Even while he was working with Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin had a successful recording career. His 1949 single  "Powder Your Face with Sunshine (Smile, Smile, Smile)" went to no. 10 on the Billboard chart. His 1950 single "I'll Always Love You" went to no. 11. His 1953 recording of "That's Amore" went all the way to no. 2. In 1955 he hit no. 1 with his single "Memories Are Made of This".

While Martin and Lewis had proven successful as a team on television, on radio, and in films, their relationship gradually began to fall apart as the Fifties progressed. Dean Martin left the team ten years exactly after they had first performed together, on July 25 1956. Sadly, the two would not speak to each other privately for another twenty years.

If anything, Dean Martin would prove even more successful on his own than he had with Jerry Lewis. While his first film without Mr. Lewis, Ten Thousand Bedrooms (1957), failed at the box office, he would appear in a number of successful movies from the late Fifties into the Sixties. He had a box office success as one of the co-stars of The Young Lions (1958). He appeared in his first movie with fellow crooner Frank Sinatra, Some Came Running, in 1958. Mr. Martin even appeared in Westerns. One of his most successful films was opposite John Wayne, Rio Bravo, in 1958. He would co-star with John Wayne again in The Sons of Katie Elder (1965). From the late Fifties into the Sixties he would appear in such films as Ocean's 11 (1960), Sergeants 3 (1962), Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964), Kiss Me, Stupid (1964), Bandolero! (1968), and Airport (1970). Starting with The Silencers in 1966 Dean Martin appeared as superspy Matt Helm in four movies (in addition to The Silencers, they were Murderers' Row in 1966, The Ambushers in 1967, and The Wrecking Crew in 1969).

Dean Martin's recording career also continue to be strong throughout the late Fifties and Sixties. The year 1958 gave him two of his biggest hits, "Return to Me" and "Volare". In 1964 what may be his best remembered song (at least for Baby Boomers and Gen Xers who can remember his TV show) "Everybody Loves Somebody" was released.  He finished out the Sixties with such hits as "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You" and "I Will".

Of course, Dean Martin had great success on television in the Sixties. He made a rare guest appearance on the Western Rawhide, in the episode "Canliss" in 1964. He also guest starred on several Bob Hope specials, and appeared on The Tonight Show several times. By far his biggest success on television would be The Dean Martin Show. Debuting in 1965, The Dean Martin Show ran until 1974. During the show's final season it featured celebrity roasts as a regular segment. The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts would continue as a series of specials after The Dean Martin Show left the air.  In the Seventies he also guest starred on Charlie's AngelsThe Misadventures of Sheriff LoboThe Big Show, and Vega$. He appeared in the films Something Big (1971), Showdown (1973),  and Mr. Ricco (1975). He did a Christmas special on NBC in 1980.

After the Seventies Dean Martin's career slowed a bit. He continued to record, and even had a minor hit, "Since I Met You Baby", in the Eighties. He appeared in the movies The Cannonball Run (1981) and Cannonball Run II (1984).  He was a regular, playing himself, on the short-live comedy TV series Half-Nelson. He did a stadium tour with Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra in 1988. He performed in Las Vegas for one last time  Bally's Hotel in 1990.

It was in 1993 that Dean Martin was diagnosed with lung cancer. He died on Christmas in 1995 at the age of 78.

Dean Martin has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In fact, last night I even dreamed I met Mr. Martin, dressed in a tuxedo as he would be in a night club act. I told him I was writing a tribute for him on my blog for his 100th birthday and that pleased him. I almost never dream of celebrities, so the fact that I dreamed of Dean Martin on the eve of his 100th birthday demonstrates just how significant he has been in my life. Dean Martin was the first crooner of which I was a fan, even before Bing Crosby. I always thought he was the coolest member of the Rat Pack (although I will confess Sammy Davis Jr. gives him a run for his money on that score). Quite simply, Dean Martin was always one of my favourite singers, comedians, and actors.

Of course, I am not along in my admiration for Dino. Ever since Martin and Lewis emerged on the scene in the late Forties, Dean Martin has had a huge number of fans. To me, at least, the appeal of Dean Martin is not hard to figure out. He had an easy-going, amiable style that made him instantly likeable. He also had a wry sense of humour, and could deliver absolutely hilarious lines with a fairly straight face. He was also one of the greatest crooners around. He had a rich baritone that could be very smooth or bouncy depending upon the song. Dean Martin's style was also very unique. When Dino sang a song, you knew it was Dino.

While Dean Martin began his career as a singer, he would also become an actor. Often his characters were much like his stage persona, that of a slightly drunken, relaxed playboy. That having been said, Dean Martin played a wider variety of roles in film than simply Dean Martin. In Rio Bravo he played Dude, the deputy sheriff who goes from being a drunk to being a competent lawman. In Toys in the Attic he played Julian Berniersa young man who runs afoul of his spinster sister when he returns to New Orleans. In Airport he played Vernon Demarest, the checkride captain for TGA Flight Two. Surprisingly enough for someone who grew up far from the West, he appeared in several Westerns over the years, including 4 for TexasThe Sons of Katie ElderRough Night in Jericho, and others. In fact, aside from Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin may have been the only member of the Rat Pack who was entirely convincing as a Western hero.

Dean Martin has often been called "the King of Cool", a title he shares with Steve McQueen. As big a fan of Steve McQueen as I am, I have to confess that the title might rightfully belong to Dino. Steve McQueen was primarily an action star. On the other hand, Dean Martin could do it all. He could sing. He could do comedy. He could do drama. He could be an action star. And he could do all of these things while he was impeccably dressed. If Dean Martin is still immensely popular on what would have been his 100th birthday, it is perhaps because he was an extremely versatile performer with an easygoing style that pleased audiences. There simply wasn't anyone else quite like him.

The Colours in Life.... 100 years of Dean

Do you know any song with your name in it?

If you're name is Maria... then you probably find it difficult to keep track of the songs with your name. My sister Priya had songs in Hindi with her name in them.

Though I have a common name - you'd find two or three Sunil's in any gathering, no matter how small. But I have the privilege to hear my surname in this one song.

Nel blu di pinto di blu is literally translated from Italian to 'In the blue that is painted blue'. So I guess the Pinto in the song is a conjugation of the verb that has something to do with paint. And speaking of blue, there a lot more blue in my name. Never knew the meaning of my name till one baby names guide translated Sunil to 'Deep Dark Blue'.

And while we are in the blue, you probably heard the phrase “once in a blue moon”. Do you know what it means... As far as I know, the 'blue moon' refers to the second occurence of the moon in a calendar month... but I look forward to this Blue Moon.

Actually had a jumpy version of that song for a while sung by The Marcels. While blue in music often refers to sadness, the Blue Moon here had a wonderful sense of Amore.

That's a whole lot of love going around... and we all know that Everybody Loves Somebody sometime.

If you've been following this blog over any part of the past two years, you possibly would've guessed that this post is a tribute to Dean Martin... oh yes, it is. I still remember finding a cassette (you may not know what that is anymore) of his songs at home and really enjoyed these oldies. And of course my Dad enjoyed singing a lot of these songs including Buona Sera.

An on this wonderful evening we recall the wonderful music that Dean Martin gave us during his lifetime that started A Hundred Years From Now.

This tribute to a great singer would be incomplete without the wish for a Pink (read happy) life - La Vie En Rose.

We've been from Blue to Pink... which colour comes next?

Above all else it was Dean Martin’s personality that made him such an icon.

Hey pallies, likes we're back with 'nother in our on-goin' series of centennial celebrations of our most beloved Dino who came to planet earth on June 7, 1917.  Today we visit with the blog "Patterico's Pontifications - Harangues that Just Make Sense," which appears to be a blog often dedicated to thin's politico in most cases.

Well 'though our Dino mostly stayed outta politics and ilovedinomartin tries to 'specially emulate him in this, we are deeply delighted to share "Patterico's Pontifications" excellent efforts in hugely homagin' our King of Cool with wisely written words and coolly chosen classic video moments with Dino in their perfect post, "EVERYBODY LOVES SOMEBODY: DINO AT 100," supremely scribed by guest poster JVW.

Likes JVW reports on many of the standard Dino-notes on his life and times, but we are most impressed how JVW's personal passion for our Dino comes shinin' through his potent prose.  We 'specially appreciate JVW's  touchin' testimonial to his "own personal favorite Dean Martin album," one that tons and tons of Dino-holics also have amazin'ly awesome affection for, the 1964 classic al-b-um, "Dream With Dean."

We also are deeply delighted that JVW has shared with his remarkable readership a link to Mr Mark Steyn  recent awesome article "about Dino’s movie career" at his blog, "The Mark Steyn Club" that we will not be able to share directly here at ilovedinomartin, but we eagerly encourage you to check out via's the provided link.   Likes we sez our thankful thanks to Dino-adulator JVW for his time, energy, and talent poured into his swank salute to our one and only Dino and helpin' the readership of "Patterico's Pontifications" grow deeper in their devotion to our Dino.

Everybody Loves Somebody: Dino at 100

Filed under: General — JVW @ 6:03 am
[guest post at JVW]
Dino Paul Crocetti was born one hundred years ago yesterday in Steubenville, Ohio. His Abruzzian father, Guy, worked as a barber and his first-generation American mother, Angela, kept the family home. Italian was the language spoken in the Crocetti household, and young Dino dropped out of school early to work as a boxer, bootlegger, and card dealer and croupier at one of Steubenville’s many unlicensed casinos.
But young Dino also loved to sing, and began appearing behind local bands in the city’s nightclubs, and changed his name first to Dino Martini and then finally Anglicized it to Dean Martin. Handsome and charismatic, his easygoing singing style was influenced heavily by hitmakers Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and, especially, Harry Mills of the Mills Brothers. Years later when the Mills Brothers would appear on his television show, Dean’s abiding respect and affection for the older man would be evident, as seen on this clip:
Classified as 4-F during World War II (as was his later friend Frank Sinatra), Martin had a middling career singing in nightclubs all along the Eastern seaboard through the war years. In 1946, he met young comedian Jerry Lewis and after convincing Skinny D’Amato of the 500 Club in Atlantic City that they two of them had a great duo act (which they largely improvised on the spot), the Martin & Lewis comedy team was born. With Dean playing the suave, worldly singer and Jerry playing the clown, the team became one of the most sought-after acts in the country with bookings from coast-to-coast, seventeen movies together, and a weekly television hour. In 1956, ten years after they first paired together, the act broke up after filming their final movie, Hollywood or Bust.
After splitting from Lewis, Martin launched himself into a movie career where his natural charm became a box office draw. Mary Steyn wrote earlier this week about Dino’s movie career in an article typical of Steyn’s vast knowledge and keen insight. At the same time as his movie career, Martin became a mainstay on the Las Vegas where he would remain a top-grossing act for three decades. (Interesting aside: while Sinatra continually broke new ground on the weekly fee that an entertainer could command, Martin became the first major entertainer to sign a contract which stipulated that he would only be required to do one show per night, even on weekends). A good example of his stage act was captured for the 1964 Billy Wilder film, Kiss Me, Stupid, in which Dean played a smug and decadent nightclub singer named Dino:
Dino was in fact a fine comedian with impeccable timing and an uncanny ability to play the straight man. One of the main challenges of being the straight man is to allow the funny guy to do his thing and have the punchline while still making your own contribution to the sketch. Famously unrehearsed as his television contract only required him to show up on the day of the show’s taping, watch Dino work with the great Bob Newhart here.
As a singer, Martin was in many respects the anti-Sinatra. Whereas Frank was a perfectionist, known for pushing for dozens of takes in studio sessions, Dean was the laid-back crooner who was generally happy with just a few run-throughs being captured on tape (“I hate guys who sing serious,” he once told an interviewer). Whereas Frank was the vocal acrobat whose clear tones and intricate phrasing is hard to emulate, Dean’s best-known song is an easy sing-along that even the most novice caterwauler can belt out without much problem. Whereas Sinatra did not speak Italian and thus did not sing Italian songs, Dean cut several songs in his first language many of which are compiled on an excellent collection. In 1964 his biggest hit, “Everybody Loves Somebody,” pushed “A Hard Day’s Night” out of the Number One spot on Billboard’s Top Hits (“I’m going to knock your little pallies right off of the charts,” Dean had promised his Beatles-loving son) and held the spot for seven weeks. It became the theme song to his massive television hit variety show, “The Dean Martin Show” which ran for ten seasons on NBC and made its host a very wealthy man (at one point, Dean Martin was the single largest individual shareholder of GE, NBC’s former parent company).
But my own personal favorite Dean Martin album is one he recorded in 1964 with a bare-boned backing crew of Ken Lane on piano, Barney Kessell on guitar, Red Mitchell on bass, and Irving Cottler on drums. Dream with Dean contains the first version of “Everybody Loves Somebody” before it was re-recorded with a full orchestra and started on its Billboard climb, and it also has what is, for my money, the very finest version of Rube Bloom’s “Fools Rush In” ever recorded as well as wonderful renditions of “I’m Confessin’ (That I Love You)” and “I Don’t Know Why (I Just Do).” The album is out of print, but it’s worth tracking down especially if you can buy it in the two-for with the follow-up collection Everybody Loves Somebody. Have a listen:
Above all else it was Dean Martin’s personality that made him such an icon. It’s fitting that a recent re-release of some of his biggest hits was titled The King of Cool. It was said that the difference between Frank and Dean is that Frank always wanted to be like the gangsters and made men that hang around the entertainers but the gangsters and made men all wanted to be as suave and unflappable as Dean. From fashion to comportment and everything in between, Dean Martin set an example of confident manliness that is still appealing today. One last clip from his television show demonstrates his undeniable sex appeal, as he charms the gorgeous Ann-Margret in a duet of the great Merle Haggard song, “I Take a Lot of Pride in What I Am”:
Like many other famous and wealthy people, especially in entertainment, Dean’s life was marked by marriages and divorces, problems with drinking and pills, and family tragedy. He was devastated when his son Dean Paul was killed in a crash while flying with the California Air National Guard in 1987, and after that tragedy Dean cut back on his public appearances and had pretty much retired by the end of 1990. He died from emphysema on Christmas Day 1995. In marking his death, National Review pointed out that Dean was one of those entertainers who never tried to tell us how we should vote. Dean Martin was successful at pretty much everything he tried, and I hope that we are still watching his shows and listening to his music for the next 100 years.

Music History - July 11

In 1964, although the music world was being dominated by rock and roll, crooner Dean Martin's "Everybody Loves Somebody" cracked the US charts on its way to the Top Ten. This would be Dino's first Top 40 hit since 1958.

On This Day In Dino-history: July 11, 1946

Hey pallies, likes while doin' our almost daily blog searchin' of Dino-gems, our pallies at Twingly Advanced Blog Search sent us way of our pallie Bob Dearborn's pad "The Olde Disc Jockey's Almanac" who daily blogs delightful details of events of note each and every day of the year.  Likes today Bob's post celebrates that it was on this day, July 11th in the year of our Dino 1946 that our

1946 - Dean Martin recorded his first four songs

July 11, 1946…Weeks before starting his comedy team partnership with Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin signed a contract and recorded four songs for Diamond Records: "Which Way Did My Heart Go," "All of Me," "I Got the Sun in the Morning" and "The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi." The first two tracks were the A- and B-sides, respectively, of his first single release.

Some people breathe relaxation and happiness, and Dean Martin is certainly one of them.

Hey pallies, likes as we were doin' our usual daily Dino-search usin' the beautiful blog search, Twingly Advanced  Blog Search, we happened 'pon a post from the self-tagged blog "Luigi's 50's & 60's Vinyl Corner" featurin' an imported Dino-al-bum that we never ever remember layin' eyes on before.  Luigi hails from "Leicester, Leicestershire, United Kingdom" and sez 'bout himself that he "retired from the 'Rat Race' called work and am taking it easy holidaying and just chillin" out.."

Likes this appears to be our first official visit to Luigi's pad, but we know it won't be our last 'cause we have found other Dino-posts 'mong his cool collection that we will be wantin' to share with the larger Dino-world.  Any who, back to today's Dino-find and  it is a completely cool collection of Dino-croons tagged "DEAN MARTIN WHEN YOUR SMILING."  It's a Brit disc put out by "mfp" which refers to "MUSIC FOR PLEASURE LTD."  Likes certainly no one, and likes we means NO ONE qualifies as givin' us pallies perfectly potent pleasure from his singin' then our most most beloved Dino.

Two of the thin's that we most deeply digs 'bout this awesome al-b-um are the amazin' artistry of the Dino-impressionistic image on the cover and the loviest of lovely liner notes on the back.  The scriber of the notes, Mr. Nigel Hunter has such touchin' 'n tender thin's to powerfully pontificate on our Dino that it brings us such such Dino-happiness to read 'em, includin' Hunter's profoundly preliminary respect remarks that we have used as the tag of this Dino-gram..."Some people breathe relaxation and happiness, and Dean Martin is certainly one of them."  Likes to our way of Dino-thinkin' no one breathes relaxation and happiness as completely coolly as our one, our only Dino!

We sez our thank you very much to Luigi for sharin' this delightful Dino-find with the larger Dino-world!  To checks this out in it's original source, likes simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report.

Is this 17-year-old schoolboy really Dean Martin reincarnated?

  GIF

Hey pallies, likes there's an old old sayin', "All Good Things Come To Those Who Wait."  And today's Dino-gram powerfully potently proves the absolute truth of this awesome adage.  Likes 'round the date of the centennial celebration of our Dino's entrance onto the world's stage, we were lovin'ly led by our Dino-sis, MISS AOW, to a twitter pad tagged #DeanMartin100 where tons and tons of touchin' 'n tender tributes were bein' offered to our most beloved Dino.

Likes pallies the tribute that most completely captured our Dino-hearts was offered by the truest of true Deanager named Daire O'Hagan, a 17 year old laddie from the Emerald Isle.   Likes for weeks now we have been tryin' to find the bestest of best way to honor young Daire's honorin' of our Dino. Daire's vids on his Facebook page are not yet up on youtube and thus we had no way of puttin' 'em up here.  In the midst of our waitin', our MISS AOW emailed us 'bout Daire.  Her energetic encouragement made us more and more eager to share Daire's devotion to our Dino with all youse Dino-holics.

Well, most recently through our pallies at Google Dino-'lerts we were perfectly pointed in the direction of the post below from the on-line presence of  "BelfastLive" where reporter Miss Shauna Corr has sweetly scribed an amazin' article on Deanager Daire, the perfect way to introduce all youse Dino-philes  to this deeply delightful devotee of our most most beloved Dino.  Indeed pallies, All Good Things Come To Those Who Wait.

Likes we are totally thrilled to share our new found pallie Daire with the wider Dino-world and we are absolutely appreciative  to Miss Corr and all the folks at "BelfastLive" for makin' that possible.
We still ain't able to post Daire's vids directly here at ilovedinomartin, but note we are providin' links to Daire's personal Facebook page for your Dino-viewin' 'n listenin' pleasure.  To checks this out in it's original format, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-gram.

This 17-year-old's singing voice and youthful looks do not match up
Truly an old soul...

NEWS

Is this 17-year-old schoolboy really Dean Martin reincarnated?

We really are wondering...

Carrying the can for the Rat Pack generation, Tyrone teenager Daire O'Hagan said he really doesn't know where his voice came from.

And for that matter, neither do his parents.

The A-Level student told Belfast Live he has "always loved singing" since he was "very young".

And as for his obsession with everything 50s, he just doesn't know.

'My Rifle, my Pony and Me'

"No one knows where it came from," he said.

"I just started listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin when I was younger. I just love everything about the 50s."

The suave young man said he even likes to dress in the style of the day.

"I do try and wear that style," he added.

"If I could look like that every day, I would. I love that era."

Turning heads with his Facebook  videos of tunes from back in the day, the young man said he has won fans all across the globe.

But keen to bring the sounds of the 50s to a new generation, he said he was most surprised when people his own age later downloaded the song he uploaded on Dean Martin's birthday.

Daire in Grease and later in the 50s style he loves

"Lots of people just came up to me and were saying they loved it," said Daire.

"Some even bought the first song - My Rifle, my Pony and Me - on Spotify."

First performed by Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson, the song featured in the classic movie Rio Bravo in 1959.

Keen to honour his idol, he said the dead star's 100th birthday gave him the boost he needed.

'My Rifle, my Pony and Me'

'Sway'

"I was always going to do it and never had the nerve," he said.

"It was Dean Martin's 100th birthday so I just did it."

Now Daire's version of the song has been watched more than 44,000 times, and his rendition of Dean Martin classic Sway isn't far behind it.

The talented youngster says he uses any excuse to get a song into the day, but between singing, acting and playing saxophone in Coalisland Silver Band and Portadown Big Band - he said he hasn't much time for anything else.

The St Patrick's Academy lad is even due to tread The Mac boards this summer as Rooster in the hit musical Annie.

Danny G's Sunday Serenade with Dino: "I'll Buy That Dream"

Hey there, pallies!

So...how's Summer treatin' youse so far?

Too hot & muggy?

Well...I've heard...some like it HOT! Ha!

I, for one, will take the sticky heat...over the frigid cold...any day of the year. pals.

But, mi amici...I knows it can be hard to find some much needed shade & peace of mind...some days.

Hard to keep our brains on ice.

So with these hot & sweaty days here to stay...for awile...I figured I pick 'nother really cool & easy...SULTRY type tune...to help chill thins' out...just a bit.

A jam to get us swoonin' & croonin' &  ignore the sweatin' & the stressin'!

Sound good to youse?

Cool!

Let's go!

This week's Serenade, "I'll Buy That Dream", off Dino's 1964 al b um, "Dream with Dean", is the PERFECTO kinda song for a late night float in the pool...drink in hand...obviously. HaHa!!

Maybe even a relaxin' ride in the moonlight...on a hot & muggy July evenin'!

 Man! What a thought! Haha!!

Now, pallies...pool or no pool...I thinks we ALL can grab that drink... turn this Dino-ditty WAY up...and Dream away with Dean. Tranquility at it's best, my friends.

Balmy thoughts & hot, hot places. Yummy, chilled drinks & tan, happy faces!

Sounds like Summer to me!

We better put some of those thoughts on ice, pals...it goes quick.

Here's to keepin' the Summer long & hot...but still OH SO COOL!!!

 Enjoy!

Imagine me with my head on your shoulder
And you with your lips getting bolder
A sky full of moon and a sweet, mellow tune
I'll buy that dream
Imagine you in a gown white and flowery
And you thanking Dad for your dowry
A church full of folks and those last minute jokes
I'll buy that dream
A honeymoon in Cairo, with a brand new auto gyro
When home I rocket in a wink
We'll settle down at Dallas in a little low crazy palace
Oh, it's not as crazy as you think
Imagine me on our first anniversary
With some one like you in the nursery
It doesn't sound bad, and if it can be had
I'll buy that dream
A honeymoon in Cairo, in a brand new auto gyro
When home I rocket in a wink
We'll settle down at Dallas in a little coo-coo palace
It's not as crazy as you think
Imagine me on our first anniversary
With some one like you in the nursery
It don't sound bad, and if it can be had
I'll buy that dream

What is the last thing that made you smile? It never fails: every time Dean Martin pops into my brain.

Hey pallies, likes we are always always absolutely awed to hear stories of the wondrous ways that our most beloved Dino has touched the lives of so so many pallies in so so many marvelous ways, likes 'specially those of others in the entertainment field.   Today we are greatly greatly moved to be able to visit with the brilliant blog "TRAINWRECK'D SOCIETY -Gathered From Coincidence, Surrounded By Brilliance" where Mr. Ron Trembath holds forth.

Speakin' 'bout himself Trembath sez that he is "(founder/editor, drunkard of the lowest sort) who currently lives in Rota, Spain and has been in the freelance (meaning unpaid, and underwhelmed) blogger for the last 6 years writing for sites like Fensepost, Crappy Indie Music!  The Blog, Music Geek, Comfort Comes, and Sergeant Sparrow Magazine."

Likes we were pleasantly pleased to have the pallies at Twingly Advanced Blog Search send us Ron's way for his recent incredibly intriguin' intense interview with actor Mr. Larry Bishop, who Trembath references as "one of the most recognizable badasses the cinema world has ever known, and an absolutely delight to see on the screen."

What pleased us to no end was that Trembath's openin' 'n endin' quiries both have Mr. Bishop speakin' his awesomely amazin' adulation of our most most beloved Dino.  As all youse Dino-holics will note below, Larry's inspiration for wantin' to be in show business is none other then our one and only Dino.  In doin' a wee bit of 'net searchin' we discovered that our Mr. Bishop's father was none other then Mr Joey Bishop, a full fledged member of the Rat Pack.  And, likes we were beautifully blown 'way by how Larry ended his interview by proudly proclaimin' that when our Dino "pops into (his) brain," it always always makes Bishop smile!

Likes words simply fail us to put pen to paper to tell all youse Dino-devotees how mucho much readin' Mr. Larry Bishop sharin' his unendin' devotion to our King of Cool!  So, we sez our thoughtful thanks to Mr. Ron Trembath for interviewin' Bishop and gettin' his Dino-adulation into print.  And, likes we also are greatly grateful for Mr. Bishop's proudly proclaimin' his love of our one and only Dino.  To checks this out in it's original format, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report.

Larry Bishop [Interview]

JULY 7, 2017 BY RONTREMBATHIII

Larry Bishop Picture

Today’s interviewee is a very special person to me personally, and somebody you are all sure to love to all end. He’s one of the most recognizable badasses the cinema world has ever known, and an absolutely delight to see on the screen. If you are a normal human being and started at the top of this post, you know it is Larry Bishop.

That’s right, THE Larry Bishop! One of the original kings of the biker film world, and a regular in the Tarantino universe. He is the mastermind behind the Quentin Tarantino presented film Hell Ride, which we have talked about previously when we spoke with one of the film’s associate producers and actresses Laura Cayouette, who remains a dear friend of ours here at TWS, and remains as one of our favorite films of all time. He has also had some amazing roles in films like Kill Bill Vol. 2, The Sting II, and his brilliant breakout performance in 1968’s The Savage Seven.

This is an interview that has been literal years in the making, but it was SO worth the wait. We finally have some amazing words from Larry that we are so excited to share with you all right now. So, please Ladies and Gentlemen, please enjoy some amazing words from the legendary man we know and love, the great Larry Bishop!

When did you first realize you wanted to join the world of acting? Was there any sort of inspiration stemming from living around your father’s career?

From the time I was 9 years old, I had the opportunity to see and be around Dean Martin in person many times. I knew right then that I definitely wanted to be in show business.

What is the last thing that made you smile?
It never fails: every time Dean Martin pops into my brain.

Dean was the ultimate American dreamer....with a charm and smoothness of character that seem like something out of the age of the dinosaurs...

Hey pallies, the incredibly iconic , colossal centennial celebration of our Dino's entry onto pad Earth continues today with a visit with a new-to-ilovedinomartin blog tagged "jcorradoblog -Sports, Politics, Current Events and Assorted Nonsense."  Likes doin' a wee bit of searchin' at this blog has yielded the fact that the "j" in "jcorrandoblog" is Joe, so we are guessin' that this is Joe Corrando's blog.  And, likes since quite a number of his posts refer to the City of Brotherly Love....Philadelphia, we are also submisin' that Joe hails from Philly.

Mr. Corrando's most Dino-honorin' post is tagged, "A Century of Cool: Happy Birthday, Dino," and likes what we digs the mostest 'bout this post is how Joe, likes so so many of the Dino-centennial posts we have and will share, speaks has his own powerfully personal perspective on our King of Cool...and it is completely, coolly clear that Joe is an awesome Dino-affectionado!!!!!

Likes a couple of Joe's terrific thoughts on our Dino that brought the biggest of big Dino-buddha grins to our face include:

".....Dean’s style and persona had unquestionable mass appeal. His epic “coolness” knew no demographic."

"Dean was the ultimate American dreamer, who rose from a small, sleepy Ohio town to the bright lights of New York City with a charm and smoothness of character that seem like something out of the age of the dinosaurs in this era of fading masculinity, sanitized comedy and dumbed-down entertainment on both the stage, the screen and in the music industry."

Likes, how great it is pallies to find delightful dudes likes Philly's Mr. Joe Corrando who "get Martin" and loves sharin' their deepest of deep devotion to our Dino with their readership!  We shout out our terrific thanks to Corrando for his thoughtful time 'n talent and his effervescent  energy in hugely homagin' our cooler then cool Dino on his centennial of entry onto our planet.  To checks this out in it's original source, likes simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report.

A Century of Cool: Happy Birthday, Dino

JUNE 7, 2017 ~ JCORRADOBLOG

Dean-Martin-Haircut[1]

To quote a lame Philly sports radio bit, give me your Mount Rushmore of “cool”. Only three faces would ever adorn it, and all have first name credentials: Frank, Sammy and Dean. All three of these guys were unique in their own way despite being the same in many others. Frank was obviously the undisputed leader of the Rat Pack, with an arrogance that was rooted in the fact that he refused to change his last name because it sounded too “ethnic” for the times, and a generational singing voice to boot. The biggest all-around talent of the three was unquestionably Sammy (even a man with Frank’s ego and pride admitted this repeatedly), who was blessed with the fortune of excelling at singing, dancing, and acting from the time he could walk until his death in 1990 at the age of just 64.

Then there was Dino, who was the undisputed leader of the Rat Pack in a category that is just as universal, and in these days a rarity: the art of being cool, and 100 years ago today the coolest cat on Earth was born in a small Ohio town two hours from Cleveland.

The little boy from Steubenville who was born Dino Crocetti certainly possessed an arsenal of talent himself, to be sure. The silky smooth vocals, the acting and comedic ability, and the looks to boot. But unlike the in-your-face style of Sinatra or the penchant of Sammy to completely take over a stage, Dino was content to play it cool, and did he ever. He was raised in a blue-collar, working class town just west of Pittsburgh to Italian immigrants, and honed his skills at mob-owned nightclubs outside of Cleveland, where he combined his triple-threat combination of good looks, a smooth singing voice and a laid back sense of humor that would serve him well throughout his career. These were the smoke-filled days where the night life was rife with real-life tough guys who were in attendance with the wives on Saturday nights and the girlfriends on Fridays, to quote a Scorsese flick you may be familiar with, and Dino didn’t disappoint. And despite his Italian-American upbringing, Dean’s style and persona had unquestionable mass appeal. His epic “coolness” knew no demographic.

After his brief stay on the Ohio club scene he realized his talents were too vast to be contained, and New York City came calling. By the early 1940s as World War II raged on, Dean was opening for Sinatra at the legendary Riobamba Club, and by chance met an up and coming comedian by the name of Jerry Lewis. Martin and Lewis teamed up as a singing and comedy partnership for the ages, spanning both the stage and the screen with their combination of wit and music. But Dean’s penchant for being more of the laid back type compared to Lewis’ firebrand all-business attitude spelled doom for the partnership after just ten years together. The two would have a falling out that was only resolved decades later when Sinatra reunited them both on the Jerry Lewis Telethon in one of the more memorable moments in television history.

When the Martin-Lewis juggernaut flamed out, popular opinion was that Jerry would have a meteoric career on his own given his unmatched comedic talent and business acumen, but the opposite actually occurred. Dean was determined to be a Hollywood actor, and he successfully accomplished this in the coming years while continuing his epic singing career as well as joining the legendary Rat Pack in their virtual takeover of Las Vegas. Dean was the perfect foil for the boisterous firebrand that was Frank Sinatra, charming audiences with his boozing, crooning and wise cracking style that blended perfectly with the times and the company he was sharing on stage. Every guy wanted to be Dino, and every woman wanted to be with him. He was that cool.

The entertainment that was provided by the Rat Pack and later personified in the epic Dean Martin Roasts might as well be ancient history these days, as the age of hypersensitivity and political correctness has forced both performers and audience members to walk a fine line for fear of offending some group ready to pounce. The modern-day entertainer, like the modern-day male, isn’t allowed to be “cool” anymore in the Rat Pack style, and none of us are better for it. Martin also had the admirable trait of being able to laugh at himself, another lost art these days that is probably more needed than ever before.

Friends and family will agree that Dean was never the same after his son Dino was killed in a 1987 jet fighter crash with the California National Guard. The epic coolness was replaced by sadness, depression and a detachment from his longtime Rat Pack cohorts. By 1990 Sammy was gone, and 5 years later on Christmas Day (fitting given all of his memorable holiday tunes), Dean died of emphysema at age 78. Five decades of acting, singing and comedic genius were silenced as Sinatra remained the last man standing until his death in May of 1998.

Dean Martin’s legacy remains as one of the most iconic figures in entertainment history. It was not just his timeless tunes like “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime”, “That’s Amore”, or “Return to Me”, his comedy films and stage acts with Jerry Lewis, or his Rat Pack credentials that we remember the most, however. It was instead the epic coolness with which he delivered on all three. Dean was the ultimate American dreamer, who rose from a small, sleepy Ohio town to the bright lights of New York City with a charm and smoothness of character that seem like something out of the age of the dinosaurs in this era of fading masculinity, sanitized comedy and dumbed-down entertainment on both the stage, the screen and in the music industry.

There is an annual Dean Martin Festival in Steubenville, Ohio, that draws fans of all ages to this day. Its founder, Rose Angelica, who started the festival with his daughter Deana shortly after his passing, sums up the legacy of Dean perfectly:

“They say in New Jersey every Italian family had a picture of the pope and Frank Sinatra in their living room. In Steubenville, every family had a picture of the pope, and Dean…”

That’s real swag. That’s Dean Martin.

STEUBENVILLE — After a 21-year run promoting the Dean Martin Festival, Rose Angelica said Tuesday this will be her final event.

“I am retiring after this one. This is it. I want to focus on my own country singing career, so this will be a blowout this year. We are pulling out all the stops to make this festival the best one yet,” Angelica said during a press conference at the the Inn at Franciscan Square.

“It has been a long run, but we are losing more sponsors and the money isn’t out there any longer to support the festival,” added Angelica.

Angelica said the largest Dean Martin Festival was several years ago when former Notre Dame football Coach Lou Holtz and television personality Regis Philbin came to Steubenville.

“And, I have learned once a personality turns 100 years old, the attention starts to die off,” she said.

“So, we will spend all of our money on the scholarships for the high school students and call it quits after this year. I know Judy Bratten and Jerry Barilla of the Historic Fort Steuben have expressed an interest in continuing the festival in some way,” Angelica remarked.

“We certainly hope this continues in one way or another, but it is too early to say what we will do,” commented Bratten.

“It is hard to believe Dean Martin would have been 100 years old if he was still alive. We have been contacted by film crews from Hollywood, England and Canada who are interested in the life of Dean Martin, how he got started and how he became a star in Hollywood,” Angelica said during the press conference.

“And, we are expecting Dean Martin fans from across the country and around the world to be in Steubenville this weekend for the 100th birthday party. We started this festival following Dean Martin’s death in 1995, and it has grown every year,” she continued.

“Everything will start with the Dean Martin Tribute Show at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Berkman Amphitheater. If we have inclement weather we will move the show to the Steubenville High School auditorium. Our annual singing contest will take place at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Spot Bar,” related Angelica.

“On Friday, we will host a meet-and-greet and a silent auction from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Inn at Franciscan Square. The birthday party will continue at 8 p.m. Friday night with film clips and an auction at the Spot Bar,” said Angelica.

“The Dean Martin parade with Deana Martin serving as the grand marshal in downtown Steubenville is set for noon Saturday followed by a meet-and-greet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Visitors Center. Then at 4 p.m. at Steubenville High School the 100th birthday show is set to take place. And, the Dean Martin Celebration will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Spot Bar featuring the Frank Gallo Band, Bob Morelli and Dave Salera,” continued Angelica.

The weekend will end with a Dean Martin family Mass at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Steubenville.

“The committee has worked very hard and will continue to work hard throughout the weekend to make sure this birthday celebration is a success. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and making new friends again this year,” noted Angelica.

Good day pallies! I have another Dino-pic to share today. This is a from the Jefferson County Museum, a candid picture of what looks to be Dino and his mother scurrying through the parade traffic in downtown Steubenville.

It's a wonderful picture that captures the energy of the hectic day when Dino came back to Steubenville.

The first phase of the film career is remembered next to Jerry Lewis. Having already achieved considerable success as a comic duo on stage and in radio broadcasts, Martin and Lewis were signed to Paramount Pictures in 1949. There followed eighteen films over seven years, comedies comic impact not always effective but very appreciated by the public. He played with Marlon Brando and Montgomery Clift. They appeared very convincing characters and in 1959 in "A dollar of honor", memorable westerns of Howard Hawks, his can be considered the best interpretation of Martin who once again proved to be perfectly at home in an underdog role that can final redemption, thanks to the solidarity of his friend sheriff (John Wayne). Among the comedies "Kiss Me, Stupid", irreverent and light-hearted film by Billy Wilder, where Martin plays himself mocking the stereotype of the Italian-American singer lover of alcohol, smoking and beautiful women.

Happy 4th of July 2017 pallies! I'm extremely happy to be able to share another Dean Martin Festival 2017 Dino-pic.
Not much information on the middle of the night baseball game between Dino's Red and Franks Blue Eyes team. Sometime in the 1980's these two rivals took to the diamond in Absecon New Jersey. Obviously a  home game for the Sinatra Blue eyes. It's noted that the game came to a fierce 18-18 tie.
And one can only imagine given the Dino and the boys, that this was probably the only game in baseball history that was called off due to a sunrise!
Here is the only internet evidence of the historical event, where baseball spikes met the spikes of the liquid kind!
Red Eyes vs Blue Eyes

Once again another wonderful Dino-relic from the Jefferson County Museum in Steubenville. The shirt and hat our wonderful Dino donned for the famous game. A true Dino-treasue for sure pallies!

Dean Martin.... He was a multitalent between comedy and laziness and in his time the most successful entertainer in the world.

Tobias Sedlmaier
Hey pallies, likes one of the extremely excitin' thin's 'bout the centennial celebration of our Dino's entry onto our planet is the noteworthy number of Dino-grams celebratin' our Dino that have come our way from all 'round the Dino-globe.  Case in point would be today's Dino-devotion in the hugest of huge homage of our Dino's 100th birthday from the online presence of the  newspaper "The New Zurich Times (Neue Zürcher Zeitung)" a Swiss, German-language daily newspaper,  in Zurich that was founded in 1780.

Swank scriber Mr. Tobias Sedlmaier has coolly, creatively crafted a marvelously massive mix of perfect prose and powerfully potent pixs in his simply tagged post "Dean Martin's 100th birthday-The King of Cool."  While the prose is somewhat standard fare in terms of our most beloved Dino's life and times, we deeply digs the way that Sedlmaier has a wonderful way with words, knowin' full well that some of thoughts can not be fully appreciated in translation to English.  Some of his remarkably refreshin' reflections that we absolutely appreciate include these two..."He was a multitalent between comedy and laziness and in his time the most successful entertainer in the world.".....and "He kept his two passions, smoking and playing golf, throughout his life."

Likes we gotta 'fess up that we found what we consider a few errors in Tobias relatin' of the Dino-story in both his prose and comments on the pixs shared at the end of the piece.  We thinks it woulda be cool if some of youse patter woulda use your Dino-knowledge to patter us with the errors you discover.

As much as we awesomely appreciated Sedlmaier's wise words, we even more are thrilled with the 16---count 'em---16 incredible images of our Dino that have been included in the post.  Our fav two are the first where our Dino is enjoyin' some liquid libation in the company of "Kiss Me Stupid" co-star Miss Kim Novak and, of course, that powerfully potent pix of our Dino and Miss Ann-Margret makin' the scene at a discotheque in a swinin' scene from "Murder's Row."

We shouts out our mucho appreciato to Mr. Tobias Sedlmaier and the pallies at "The New Zurich Times" for the grandest of grand, swankest of swank salute to our one and only Dino on this amazin' anniversary of his beautiful birth in Steubenville on June 7, 1917.  To checks this out in it's original source, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report.

We remain,

Yours in Dino,

Dino Martin Peters

Dean Martin's 100th birthday

The King of Cool

By Tobias Sedlmaier 7.7.2017, 4:00 pm

This Wednesday, the American actor and singer Dean Martin was born. He was a multitalent between comedy and laziness and in his time the most successful entertainer in the world.

A man like him was a unique rarity even in the golden era of the American show business: Dean Martin enchanted both with his variety of talents as a singer, actor and entertainer, as well as through the moving melody in the voice and the longing eyes sparkling. On 7 June 1917 he was born under the name Dino Paul Crocetti in Steubenville, Ohio.

The son of an Italian-American immigrant grew up in the "City of Churches", which, despite its large number of churches, was not so pious, but firmly stuck in the embrace of the Mafia. Until his fifth year, "Dino" only spoke Italian, broke down in the 10th grade. During the prohibition period, he first shared punches as a boxer, then cards as a croupier.

From "Dino" Dean

Inspired by Bing Crosby and his deep, stretched Crooner vocal style, he first dopes as Dino Crocetti, then as Dino Martini and finally from 1940 under the permanent artist Dean Martin first steps on the stage. He could not read any notes, but his voice did not allow the women's hearts to fly.

In the mid-40s Martin met the comedian Jerry Lewis. From the initially loose acquaintance developed a fruitful collaboration, which later Lewis compared even with a "love relationship". Together, the opposing duo introduced a desperate slapstick program in the tradition of Abbott and Costello or the Marx Brothers. At the same time, Martin, also to keep distance from excessive seriousness and the approach of the audience, played the drunks, who had just staggered from the bar to the stage. In fact, at least in the shows, most of the apple juice was in the whiskey glass.

The American singer, actor and entertainer Dean Martin was born on 7 June 1917 in Steubenville, Ohio. In 1995, he died at the age of 78 after suffering from cancer.

"Martin & Lewis" became the most successful entertainment brand in America. After 10 years and 16 joint films, the collaboration ended in 1956, Martin had been highly dissatisfied with the perception of his role. From 1965 to 1974, Dean Martin had his own television show, named after him and a weekly one, which made the best-paid entertainer in the world after his relaxed stage performance "King of Cool".

Hollywood and Rat Pack

After the separation from Lewis, Martin continued his own film career. In "The Young Lions", he played alongside Marlon Brando a soldier, a tremulous, alcoholic helper, in Howard Hawk's western "Rio Bravo" from 1959. In between followed numerous success films, but also several flops. Martin's last feature, "Cannonball Run II", was a final failure in 1984. The 1960s 1960s 1960s film "Ocean's Eleven," featuring Martin Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., produced a dramatic series of drama series in a series of feature films, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts.

As part of the "Rat Pack", Martin appeared together with Sinatra and Davis Jr. in Las Vegas. His song "Everybody Loves Somebody (Sometimes)" became his biggest hit in 1964 and pushed the Beatles from the top of the American charts. In the course of his career, Martin produced more than 60 albums, including compilations.

On the stage was Martin the Casual, in the private rather the distant. Four times married, the acclaimed entertainer always remained a little inaccessible and impenetrable; So his wife Jeanne said at the divorce that she still did not know him after 23 years of marriage. He kept his two passions, smoking and playing golf, throughout his life.

But he did not find happiness in his last years. In 1987, his son took off by plane. Martin died of alcohol completely. In 1993 he was diagnosed with lung cancer. On December 25, 1995, Dean Martin died in Beverly Hills at the age of 78.

The director Hal Needham was able to engage a number of stars for "On the Highway is Hell" (The Cannonball Run). In addition to Martin (right), Roger Moore, Sammy Davis Jr. (left), Farrah Fawcett and Burt Reynolds were also seen. In the 1960s, he shot several Western films, musicals and comedies every year. The films were always high-class, but the roles unpretentious. Dean Martin with Earl Holliman, Western legend John Wayne, Michael Anderson Jr. and Jeremy Slate in "The Four Sons of Katie Elder", 1965. (Image: Imago)

A rather unusual duo, Dean Martin and Alain Delon in the Western "Two great guys in Texas", 1966, another quickly turned and critically torn film. (Picture: Imago)

In the parodic espionage comedies of the Matt Helm series Martin gave a kind of American James Bond. Again the performances of Ann-Margret (picture) or the European guests like Daliah Lavi, Elke Sommer or Senta Berger could not save the weak films. With his casual charm, Martin - who has repeatedly made headlines with his numerous affairs - consolidated his image as a live man and heartbreaker in further films. Image: With Lana Turner in "Always for your sake", 1962. (Picture: Imago)

Ursula Andresss, too, decayed in "Vier for Texas" in 1963. - At that time Martin was part of the Rat Pack, a group of entertainers around Frank Sinatra. In addition to the concerts, the members also participated in joint films. (Picture: Imago)
