Montgomery Clift and Dean Martin in the Movie 'The Young Lions' 1958
The Young Lions is a 1958 American CinemaScope war drama film directed by Edward Dmytryk, based upon the 1948 novel of the same name by Irwin Shaw, and starring Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, and Dean Martin. The film became a box-office success and was the key to Martin's comeback in the wake of his split with partner Jerry Lewis. Tony Randall originally had Martin's role but talent agency MCA insisted that Martin replace Randall so they'd have "a quadruple threat" (an audience from four sectors): night clubs, recordings, television, and movies. Martin ended up getting splendid reviews and launched a very successful solo career as an actor. This was the only film (aside from home movies) that Brando and Clift made together. However, they don't share any scenes together (aside from Martin and Clift standing over Brando's character who is dead). The picture was produced by Al Lichtman and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Film and three Academy Awards for Best Cinematography, Best Sound (Carlton W. Faulkner) and Best Music in 1959.

Today we meet with the blog tagged "Lazoz Telurica," which translates to "The Earth Voice," where a dude who tags themself "Roco Allstar" has shared some potent patter "Dean Martin - A Marshmallow World (1966)."
Likes, faithful fellow Dino-holics here at ilovedinomartin knows that we are particularly partial to this particular Dino-wintery croon, and Roco accents a ver-si-on from the Dino-show with our main man singin' it "accompanied by two beautiful santa claus" babes. It's our Dino in his terrific tux with ever present Kent smoke in hand.....of course, not takin' the words (or the world) too seriously We absolutely digs what our Dino sez at the end of the croon...."Oh, that kid's voice spreads good cheer.
I bet there is tinsel hangin' from his tonsils."
That's our marvelously magic Dino for you, as Roco sez it so so well "The song in this case was not important, because what really matters here is the artist and especially the time of year, and in the case that concerns us too kitsch this video hoot sympathetic villain." We salutes "Roco Allstar" and all the folks at "The Earth Voice" for this deeply delightful swanky salute to our one and only Dino and their efforts to spread delightful Dino-cheer to all their readership. [Classic Telúrico] Dean Martin - A Marshmallow World (1966)
There are days when listening carols is a must and we should not give it any qualms with the great Dino, Sinatra or other large, that the Christmas compilation sung by children and drilled us enough to go into any supermarket.
The song in this case was not important, because what really matters here is the artist and especially the time of year, and in the case that concerns us too kitsch this video hoot sympathetic villain.
Accompanied by two beautiful santa claus, gives us a carol with his powerful and haunting voice, and also put his hand in the fire that took more than a drink over their movements and smile.
With this only I can only say to all the earthquakes that happen these days of celebrations the best and happiest possible that craps will always be present, and if little lights can draw us a smile even if not win, you better take advantage . Merry Christmas !!!.
[Clásico Telúrico] Dean Martin - A Marshmallow World (1966)
Merry Christmas!!!.
Hey pallies, likes from the Republic of Kosovo we lands in Spain this very Dino-day, where we share the first of 3---count 'em---3 Dino-grams from three different Spanish blogs. Emphysema killed Dean Martin on December 25, 1995

Dean Martin was one of the great American artists of all time. This is reflected in its three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his career in film, television and music. He recorded more than one hundred albums and scored hit songs that today still remain, especially his interpretations of Christmas classics.
Dino Paul Crocetti (his real name) was born on June 7, 1917 in Steubenville (Ohio) in a family of Italian immigrants, which explains his respect for the Italian musical tradition and the tendency to highlight a profile of 'latin lover 'who came to caricature in his film performances. He managed to amass a significant fortune throughout his life, thanks to its connection to Las Vegas, the unique duo formed for ten years with Jerry Lewis, whom he shot to stardom after making various comedy routines US, and its friend Frank Sinatra. Just next to 'Voice' and Sammy Davis junior form the core of the Rat Pack, one of the most popular artistic groups from the city of casinos.
He soon left school after discovering that theirs were no pencils or books, but the cards and dice. During his teenage years he held various jobs and made some forays into the world of boxing with the pseudonym of 'Kid Crocetti', but in the circuit of the nightclubs where he eventually achieved professional success as a singer and comedian.
He noted for his warm baritone and sympathy wherever he went. Her gallant figure incorrigible fan, snuff and alcohol, you easily granjeaba the affection of viewers and the special admiration of the female audience. Dean Martin was a man of great charisma, a gallant rogue, stylish, womanizing, party animal and a seducer of overwhelming personality that you will know not enemies. In the film he starred in over sixty films and left us memorable films like Rio Bravo, Kissing a Fool or The Young Lions. His characters used to distill an air between naïve, cheeky and funny that fit him like a glove and did not mind appearing in bad movies so that the atmosphere of the shooting was fun.
An unstable love life and alcohol hurt in recent years whose career had been the best paid artist in history. He married four times and had eight children. Those who knew him used to comment that it was a very nice and warm person, yet distant and lonely. Famous was his custom to organize parties at home and isolated in a room little time to welcome guests to sit and watch a western, a film genre he adored.
The death of his son Dino Jr. in a plane crash in 1987 embittered character and plunged him into a deep depression from which he never failed to recover. Paradoxes of life, the man sounded cheerful for the holidays in the homes of everyone whose music, said a goodbye December 25, 1995 at his home in Beverly Hills as a result of emphysema produced his advanced lung cancer . He was 78.
As a tribute to this incomparable showman rescued five most popular Christmas songs and let us delight you once again for his melodic and romantic voice.

He was the son of an Italian immigrant who was a barber by profession, Martin in his youth began working in a steel mill, and at the request of his friends on the weekend he began singing in clubs of his city.

Since then a music legend was born.
Despite that he made headlines, Martin had many doubts about his talent and skills.
"Dean can never sang and was unsure how much he is worth. He had no confidence, "said his partner, Jerry Lewis.
Martin even had stated publicly that he has little faith in himself as a singer.
Well maybe, just this thing has special man.
Also Martin was very good in acting, he even was niminuar Oscar in the 1959 film, Who Was That Lady? - But even then he continued to be a celebrity but more reluctant, although in the sixties he was the highest paid American.

So pasna was an important man, "said director Peter Bogdanovich.
Of course he was an important man. He was the king of festive songs.
Below you can listen to the songs of Martin Christmas song that definitely made their mark in the music world.
Martin kishte 40 top 10 këngë në mes të viteve 1950 dhe 1969, tre prej të cilave –That’s Amore, Memories are Made of This dhe Everybody Loves Somebody – u shitën me miliona kopje.
Gjithashtu Martin, ishte shumë i mirë edhe në aktrim, ai madje ishte niminuar për Oscar në filmin e vitit 1959, Who Was That Lady?
Kënga e tij Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, është këngë klasike për borën.

Dean Martin (1917-1995)
Today is twenty years ago that the US "crooner" Dean Martin is deceased.
'Crooner' is a word that is hardly used. The English word 'croon' actually means 'hum'.A 'crooner' is a man who sings in a relaxed, intimate position with a soft, low voice (usually) love songs.More enlightening than the definition are the examples: Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Pat Boone, Tony Bennett, Andy Williams ... Frank Sinatra is known as a so-called hard-crooner.His buddy Dean Martin remained an example of a softcrooner "I just copieer Bing Crosby one hundred percent," he says.
Dino Crocetti alias Dean Martin (° Steubenville, Ohio, 06/07/1917) descended from an Italian-American family. His Italian roots still hear his hits That's amore, Return to me or Volare. He left school at age 16 and moved in 1937 to California. He had several jobs (boxer, metal worker card magician, gas station worker), before he changed his name and had success as a singer in the night clubs of New York.In 1946 he began his collaboration with the comedian Jerry Lewis. They jointly developed a successful comedy routine and were among the top of Hollywood. They played skits on TV, had his own radio show and joined in 1949 also working in films, 16 in total.Their partnership ended in discord in 1956. To everyone's surprise Dean Martin then had a successful solo career. In the 60s he was a member of the Rat Pack, the infamous club of friends with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis jr. And Peter Lawford, with whom he made popular movies.Close friends were John Wayne and Gary Cooper.
Dean Martin is not well known among the younger generations, but for the older he stands in the landscape of popular music as a protected monument. He became immortal through his hits-evergreens from the 50s: Kiss, Memories are made of this, Sway ... In 1964 he made an impressive comeback with Everybody loves somebody, The door is still open to my heart, Send Me the Pillow That you dream on others - all sung in his own distinctive and effortless, warm Italo-American style.
He played secret agent Matt Helm in four films, but when his vocal talent was already in perspective (cfr. The statement about Bing Crosby), than he does about his acting talent very modest. Then he presented a weekly basis between 1965 and 1984 his own show on NBC, one of the most successful programs in American television history. His declining health and popularity meant that he only did theater work from the 70s.After his son in 1987 in a plane crash to had died and he became the next year was unwell during a tour, he put an end to his career.
Dean Martin, who starred in 51 films, has three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, for his record recordings, films and TV work.According to the "legend" he was a big drinker, but his biographers (and his family) speak emphatically against it.He was married three times and has eight children, who adopted one.
Since 1993 he suffered from terminal cancer (not coincidentally lung and kidney). When the surgeons suggested to cut away the affected organs, he pointed out to the generous offer to return home "to have a beer." He has two more years to enjoy it, because he's only on Christmas Day 1995 deceased at the age of 78.On his tombstone is' Everybody loves somebody sometime. "
Dean Martin (1917-1995)
That’s amore, Return to me of Volare. Hun samenwerking eindigde in onenigheid in 1956.
In 1964 maakte hij een indrukwekkende comeback met Everybody loves somebody, The door is still open to my heart, Send me the pillow that you dream on e.a.

When Elvis Presley was introduced to the daughter of Dean Martin, Diana, bent down and whispered in her ear: "They call me the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but your dad is the King of Cool».
King of Cool, died on Christmas Day 20 years ago, having a successful career. He had 40 top 10 singles between 1950 and 1969, three of them was the Amore (1953), Memories are Made of This (1955) and Everybody Loves Somebody (1964), selling millions.
Before gained fame and money, the Dean Martin spent much. His real name was Dino Paul Kroseti and was the son of an immigrant barber in Ohio. In adolescence was a reluctant perfomer, prefer to play boxing, and when he quit working as a croupier in an illegal casino. For a time he worked in a steel mill, and then the urging of friends, he began singing at weekends in small clubs.
At 21 she was spotted in a bar by a band leader Sami Gouatkins, who was impressed by the rich repertoire. At the time, Dean Martin Dean Martin called inspiration from pop star of opera Nino Martini. The Gouatkins was the one who named him Dean Martin, giving birth to a legend of showbusiness.
Martin smoothly imitate baritone voice and the words of Bing Crosby from which it took and the way they sang the lyrics. This relaxed tradition made the songs by Martin, such as Volare and Return to Me so charming.
Despite the direct identification Martin doubted his ability. He could not read music and he believed that there had singing lessons seemed. Jerry Lewis partner in comedy act called "Martin and Lewis," once said:
"Dean never could sing and do it with the whole heart, why was not he knew its value. He had no self-esteem. "
Martin had the warmest voices singing music, which is evident in songs like Memories Are Made of This.
But not only degrade voice and his music and his movie career, which included a nomination for a Golden Globe in 1959 for «Who Was That Lady?». There remained a reluctant celebrity, despite the ever highest paid star of the 60s.
The Dean Martin Show was the most popular program in 1965 and 1966, with perfomer gets $ 283,000 per episode. In the show the band had appeared Rat Pack, consisting of himself, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lofornt and Joey Bishop.
For the public, the Dean Martin was funny and styles of Rat Pack, but his close friends was difficult to understand his character.
A few years ago there was a discussion to become film life by Martin Scorsese, however, the director gave a revealing explanation of why such a thing never happened.
"I really tried but the story of Dean Martin was difficult. It was difficult because it was pulling his life back. It seemed completely passive and that was part of what was estimated by Sinatra and the others ", said the famous director.
Nevertheless, the Dean Martin left happy memories to his children, as he was a father made jokes and all of us beloved music, especially for the Christmas season.
The Dean Martin had a wonderful voice that interprets festive songs. His own «Let it Snow» is the most popular version of the traditional song, which he adapted a hot day of 1945.
In 78 he died on December 25, 1995 from acute respiratory failure at his home in Beverly Hills.
Filmmaker Peter Bogdanovic said for his death: "This that Martin died on Christmas Day is a kind of black joke."
The voice of the King of Cool Christmas ornament of the world.
Είχε 40 top 10 singles μεταξύ του 1950 και του 1969, τρία από αυτά ήταν το Amore (1953), Memories are Made of This (1955) και το Everybody Loves Somebody (1964), πουλώντας εκατομμύρια.
Ο Μάρτιν είχε από τις θερμότερες φωνές της μουσικής που τραγουδούσε, κάτι που είναι εμφανές σε τραγούδια, όπως το Memories Are Made of This.

E incominciavo a volare nel cielo infinito
Volare, oh oh
E contare, oh oh oh oh
Mentre il mondo pian piano spariva lontano laggiu
Una musica dolce suonava soltanto per me
Volare, oh oh
E cantare, oh oh oh oh
No wonder my happy heart sings
Your love has given me wings
Nel blu, dipinto di blu
Felice di stare lassu
