Scribed by reporter, Mr. Eric Althoff, "Sinatra’s son to pay homage to father’s centennial with Wolftrap concert" accents one of a series of concerts that Sinatra Jr. is doin' in homage of his father's birth coming up on December 12 of this year.  As part of the inteview Frank Jr. shares a marvelous moment in the friendship between his father and our most beloved Dino.  Likes we don't want to take any glory away from this stellar story, all we are goin' to say is it's 'bout a "pratical joke" that Mr. Sinatra plays on our main man while he was in the hospital.

Likes, we can never ever gets 'nough true life stories of the life and times of our King of Cool, so we are mucho indebted to Mr. Erick Althoff and all the pallies at "The Washington Times," as well as, of course to Mr. Frank Sinatra Jr. for relatin' this marvelous memory of our Dino.  To read the interview in total, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report to goes to the original postin'.  Dino-enthralled, DMP

Mr. Sinatra had a front-row seat to the bacchanalia his father and his cronies reveled in during the 1950s and ‘60s, which included a steady stream of practical jokes.

He recalled an episode when Dean Martin was holed up in a Baltimore hospital with an ailment, and the doctors and staff wouldn’t allow him the use of a telephone or any “creature comforts.”

“He scribbled on a piece of paper a message, and he bribed some kid that worked in the hospital” to take a message to Western Union to send to Sinatra in California, asking if he might “bail out” Martin from the hospital, he said.

“So the next day,” Mr. Sinatra said, “at Dean’s room in the hospital, a big package arrived and it was an Army surplus parachute.”
