Yes, pals...I'm still rantin' 'bout it bein' Spring! 

It's just SO SO Awesome!!! 

Ahhhhh....Springtime. It & Dean just seem to fit SO SO nicely together. Don't youse agree, pals? O good!  

Kind've likes a hand in a glove...likes a foot in a fine Italian loafer...likes a green green olive in a dry dry martini! Haha! Man o' man, mi amici... I thinks we need to keep this FUN FUN vibe goin' with a COOL COOL & BOUNCY little jam! 

A tune that will REALLY get the green green grass growin' & the warm breezes blowin' & bounce us right into April! 

Let's get a wee bit silly for this week's Serenade, pallies! 

We'll start with a jumpin' drum beat...add some maniacal backup singin'... mix in a touch of Dean's sweet sweet Italian type croonin'...shake it all up...real good...& pour us a TALL, COOL, REFRESHIN' glass of "Tik A Tee Tik A Tay"!!! Ha!

What's up?! 

Do I seem a wee bit "over-excited" today?! Haha!! 

Well, mi Dean Martin-diggin' amici...I is!!! Hahaha!!! 

It's just this COOL COOL time of year, I guess. Spring has "officially" Sprung...& I couldn't possibly be more 'cited! 

Dino-jams just seem to fit in SO SO perfecto-ly this time of year!! They sound...if it's at ALL possible...even better! It's just the season, pals. So upliftin' to me! And even though this crazy world seems so so upside down, at the moment...I couldn't be floatin' on more of a Springtime cloud! 

Oh...and by the way, pallies...gots one more VERY cool thin' goin' on that brings one of my all-time FAVE Dino-tunes to mind! Last Saturday...March 15th...marked what would have been Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton's 61st weddin' anniversary. 

Now youse may be wonderin'...Gee, Danny G....what's that gots to do with our most beloved Dino & our Cool & Swingin' Sunday Serenade?!!!  Well...my curious little disciples of Dean...as I've told youse once or twice before...just watch "Liz & Dick"! It's a FUN FUN flick 'bout their crazy but passionate relationship. And here's the Dino-link...Dean's "Just In Time" opens the movie! 

O Man O man...as soon as I heard Dino croonin' to the openin' credits...I was hooked! Liz & Dick & Dino...Now THATS one for the ages!!! Hahaha!!! 

I must have watched this flick 100 times & still cant gets my fill!

For me...just as my love for our guy, Dino...it comes from within, mi amici. 

For me...there simply ain't NO better time of year than Spring! 

It's a time of new beginnins'! A chance to start fresh! Hey, pals...I can ALWAYS use a fresh start! 

Snow is gone...for now anyway. Birds are slowly startin' to sing! The crazy little chipmunks are back & diggin' holes in my lawn! Haha!! O well...who cares?! Haha!!

Comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb. Somethin' like that, I thinks. Comes in like a shot of booze, goes out like a glass of vino, maybe. Either way, mi amici...Winter ain't QUITE over yet. 

BUT...AGAIN...it is MARCH! Parrr-tayyy! Hahaha!!!

Now...this month basically means two thins' to me, pals. 1) Spring is on its way! & 2) CRAZY weather! Let's concentrate on the Spring part.

Now...my Dino-diggin' pallies...who comes to mind...with all these WON DER FUL thoughts...more than our pal amongst pals, Dino?! I say Dean & Spring go hand in hand...just like the birds & the buzzy little bees! Haha!! 

Yup, this is a VERY special time, my friends. 

I thinks I will pick one of my own personal FAVES to get this Pre-Spring vibe, vibin'! A TRULY inspirational Dino-jam!

Oh well, mi amici...it's January...get's used to it for a bit. Actually...hasn't been too bad, though. Some days are cold...some days are actually sunny & nice! Crazy Winter so far! Gots me comin' & goin'!  Wish Ol' Mother Nature would just make up her mind & get us through these ice covered days! 

All this weather changin' will give your pal, Danny G., the sniffles! Haha!! Oh well, mi amici. 'Tis the season. 

The good news is, my Spring countdown is in FULL Dino-gear...& 'cordin' to my calculations...we gots ONLY 74 more COOL COOL days to go! Ughhhhh!!! I know...I know! Sounds like FOREVER! But...time flies, pallies! Before we knows it...the blue birds will be singin' & Springtime days will be swingin'!

How could I NOT pick this BEA U TI FUL tune?! 

With the final bow of such a man...I NEED to play...as I do every year... a song FILLED with true, pure Dino-passion! 

Don't know 'bout youse pallies...but this tune REALLY moves me! So So softly POWERFUL & So So gently SOOTHIN' to my soul. It takes me to a calm...cool place... where we is ALL forever young & Dean is ALWAYS & FOREVER present'. Ahhhhh...Nice nice stuff, pals.

Man...just cants believe nother' Winter & 'nother Christmas is just 'bout here, as well. 

Seems so far away, then all of a sudden...BAM...here it is. No matter how much you prepare for it...still seems to catch you off guard. Haha!! Get's me every time! 

That's OK, We got this! 

'Nother important day is comin' up, also. Dino-Departure Day. 

It crept up too, pals. 

'Nother year since we lost our main dude, Dino.  That's a tough one to say, pals. Truly hurts me. But...what makes thins' a little bit easier on my heart...is bein' part of this GREAT GREAT blog...'specially today. Gives me a chance to share a little piece of myself & my thoughts 'bout this fella, Dean Martin. Dino Paul Crocetti. What he's meant to me throughout my life. 

Now, even though we may feel a little sad on Dino-departure Day...and although we is reminded 'bout what we've  lost...we MUST also think 'bout what we still have! 

Life is GOOD! 

Dino keeps it that way! Enjoy it! 

We will spread good will to others & share positive thoughts. Let's not sulk & be blue. Let's celebrate!  Let's 'member all the good stuff that made Dino...Dino!  Fun...Happy...Foolish...& OH SO SO VERY Cool! Haha!!

The song I've chosen, for today's Sunday Serenade is "Silver Bells". To me, it seems to capture the "Christmassy" essence, the most. "City sidewalks, busy sidewalks...dressed in holiday style. In the air there's a feelin' of Christmas". Yup...this jam REALLY sums up this VERY special time of year.

 Welcome back, mi amici! 

How youse feelin'? 

Hopefully not TOO stressed out. 

I know we gots a LOT of thins' to do...gettin' ready for the big day! Which also just so happens to be Dino-Departure day. Yup...it's a BUSY time of year, pallies o' mine. 

Not easy keepin' your mindset on "chill mode" these next few weeks. Everyone seems to go into panic mode! Seem to forget what the holidays are all 'bout. 

Well, pals...what we need to do...is to just relax. Take a deep breath...& relax. Thins' will come together...& we'll all be OK. Just do what I do, my friends! Increase your Dino-intake...& maybe a little more vino. Haha!! That's somethin' we DEFINATELY can ALL use! 

Actually...what I seem to have the hardest time with...is holdin' onto my traditions...which I've mentioned here before. Sometimes that gets me a wee bit blue, pals. Ain't easy when family that once were the tradition do-ers...are all gone. Now it's up to you...& no one else is diggin' what youse do! Ugh!! Yup...not easy convincin' my kiddies...not really kiddies anymore...that "The Feast of the Seven Fishes" is a yummy Christmas Eve dinner!  That "polpi" & calamad"...(octopus & squid) are delicious! Haha!! 

Nope...they just ain't feelin' the old traditional vibe...that I grew up with...mi amici. 

Really gets me longin' for "the old days", pals. 

Christmas' long gone by. 

I'm sure youse can relate, my friends. 

I thinks this week's Serenade will get us back to those days, pallies. Maybe not physically...but will definitely bring our thoughts back to those great great days! 

Dino's "I'll Be Home for Christmas"...is the one tune that gets me both happy & sad...both...at the same time. Melancholy, but comforted. Just thinkin' back & bein' SO SO thankful & appreciative for those memories...gives me the energy & extra "pep in my step"...to keep on keepin' on! 

Actually, pals...Dino jams are the one tradition...that no matter what...or who...is 'round...have ALWAYS been & ALWAYS will be...my one CONSTANT Christmassy tradition. 

Now, friends o mine...who can ask for ANY more than that?

TRULY a VERY special time of year, my friends. Soak it in!  

So...how's the holiday season treatin' youse' so far? How was your Day of Givin' Dino-thanks?! Have youse started the Christmas shoppin'?  Deckin' the halls? Haulin' out that ol' holly & all that fun stuff? Haha!! I knows it can get tirin', pallies. 

It can wear you down to the bone...if you let it! 

Make sure youse take a breather every now & then! 

'Member what the month is REALLY all 'bout...Celebratin' our DINO!!! Hahaha!!! Among other obvious thins'... of course...this month is to REALLY soak in that Dino vibe. REALLY listen to what he is tellin' us... & REALLY follow in his GREAT GREAT footsteps. Relax. Be cool, baby. Let thins' roll off your shoulder, pallie. Life's too damn short to sweat the little thins'! 

Well...I thinks it's been 'nough time since we had an EXTRA special Serenade. How's 'bout a wee bit o "Duetin' with Dino"?! Yes! Cool! Thinks we could ALL use some "EXTRA SPECIALNESS" rights 'bout now! 

Seems to me...there's really only ONE jam that TOTALLY gets this month swingin'! And...there's only TWO cool cool cats that can swing on it together! 

Of course I is referrin' to "Marshmallow World" by Dean & Frank! 

Likes no other duet known to man has ever entertained the masses SO SO feverishly, pals! Haha!!  AMEN! 

Now I know it STILL isn't very marshmallowy out there, yet...however...we did have a few flakes last night & what better way to ring in Dino-Winter Month?!  It DEF I NATE LY gets me in the holiday spirit & DEF I NATE LY keeps me in that  Wintery Dino-vibe!

The season for ponderin' our blessins', mi amici! Ponderin' our lives! Ponderin'...MR. DEAN MARTIN! Haha!! 

Yes...it's true, ol' Dino-diggin' friends o mines...I'm serious! I thinks bout' ALL the different ways Dino helps me ALL year long, & I am SO SO greatful! Makes EVERYDAY SO SO much brighter! SO SO much funner! SO SO much more meaningful to me! REALLY makes me appreciate the MANY MANY ways I've been blessed. Yup...he's my main man, pallies! 

Anyways, mi amici...I thinks I'll kick off this Cool Cool holiday seasonal Serenade with my usual Cool Cool "pre-holiday" seasonal Dino-jam! "Canadian Sunset". It just gets me in the right frame of mind, for what's headin' our way! ...CHAOS!!! Hahaha!!! Just kiddin' , pals.
