“Showmanship is a dying art that I learned from watching Dean Martin on TV when I was a kid,”

Hey pallies, likes are totally totally thrillin' it is to know that many many of today's marvelous music artists give the coolest of cool credit to our most beloved Dino for learnin' the awesome art of entertainin' from our King of Cool.  Today, once 'gain we give a noteworthy nod to supreme singer Mr. Paul Thorn who once 'gain has given a noteworthy nod to our most most beloved Dino.

Likes from the online presence of  Tampa Bay Newspapers comes an amazin' article of Mr. Thorn, who last night, May 11, played the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, Florida.  As the prose relates, "'Thorn is touring in support of “Don’t Let the Devil Ride,' his new gospel-influenced record.”
And, as part of the promo materials for Paul's latest tour, he once 'gain lauds our Dino for learnin' the awesome art of "showmanship."

Paul Thorn to play Capitol Theatre May 11

Thorn is touring in support of “Don’t Let the Devil Ride,” his new gospel-influenced record.


“Showmanship is a dying art that I learned from watching Dean Martin on TV when I was a kid,” Thorn said in a biographical sketch provided by Blind Ambition Management. “He could tell little jokes and then deliver a serious song, then make you laugh again. And he would look into the camera like he was looking right at you through the TV. That’s what I want to do – make people feel like I’m talking directly to them.”

  1. Wow! These are powerful words of Dino-praise indeed! Paul seems to be one cool cool cat who understands the art of showmanship. And who better to learn this art from than our main man, Dean?! I hear more & more current artists liftin’ up Dino’s name for inspiration these days. Can’t beat the best, pals!
