Don Freeman: He loved Dean Martin.
Hey pallies, likes as we were doin' our almost daily Dino-search usin' the remarkable resource, "Twingly Advanced Blog Search," we were led to a blog tagged "919 Gang" hosted by Mr. Jack J. Reber of Ramona, Cali. We were intrigued by the name of this blog, but so far have not been able to uncover any info on it. Likes why our Twingly pallies led us there is 'cause, of course, a Dino-mention.
The name of our most beloved Dino has been lifted up in one of a series of tributes to honor noteworthy newpaper man Mr. Don Freeman. Mr. Freeman died at age 95 on August 3 and he had the remarkable record of scribin' for almost 55 years on all thin's showbiz for The San Diego Union, later to become The San Diego Union-Tribune. You can read all 'bout him in 'nother "919 Gang" post HERE.
Likes 'mong the stunnin' stars that Mr. Freeman rubbed elbows with was, of course, our one and only Dino. Below we share just a couple of sentences from Mr. Nick Canepa 'bout Mr. Freeman's appreciation for our Dino and the answer to a quire that Freeman posted to our Dino 'bout his sensational singin' ability.
It is always thrillin' to learn of yet 'nother who loved our Dino and to hear 'nother relatin' of a true to life Dino-tale. We sends out sympathy to Mr. Freeman's family and our thanks to Mr. Jack Reber and Mr. Nick Canepa as well. To checks this out in it's original format, simply clicks on the tag of this here Dino-report.
We remain,
Yours in Dino,
