"Kiss Me Stupid" woulda be considered very tame by today's standards, but it 1964 it was totally darin' and rad in nature. For our Dino fans, here’s a couple of clips from the misunderstood (shall we say?) 1964 film Kiss Me Stupid. What I always found most amazing about this film is Dean’s willingness to parody his own character and portray himself in such an unsympathetic light. I think it probably said something about his sense of security with who he was as well as his trust in director Billy Wilder.
By the way, I always found it extremely amusing that this song from these two amateur songwriters was, in fact, written by George and Ira Gershwin. Now THAT, my friends, is what they call irony!
If you’re a Dean Martin fan, the movie needs no explanation so just enjoy the clips!
