Dino Records "That's Amore" 55 Years Ago This Dinodate
Hey pallies, just found this cool Dinoreport at the popculturefanboy blog........
55 Years Ago Today In 1953 - Dean Martin records the tracks "That's Amore" (Session 3098; Master 11694-6), which was used in the soundtrack of Martin and Lewis' Paramount Pictures movie "The Caddy" and "You're The Right One" (Session 3098; Master 11695-5), with an orchestra conducted by Dick Stabile. Both tracks were released on the same single by Capitol Records.
How cool that in the same week we celebrate the historic Dinofact of our Dino knockin' the Beatles off the charts, we also celebrate the recordin' of "That' Amore"
for the Dino and the kid flick "The Caddy." Enjoys watchin' this wonderful clip from that Dinoflick where our Dino sings one of his signature Dinoamoresongs. If you wanna read this Dinohistorical note in it's original form just click on the tagg of this Dinopost. Dinodelightedly, DMP
That's awesome. I didn't know this either. This was my grandma's favorite Dinotune. I know I've mentioned that before. Whenever I hear this song, I'm reminded of her.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie Keith, dude likes I do thinks that is just so cool that your grannie loves this Dinotune so much and that when you hear it, it reminds you of her...how cool that you had a grannie who loved our Dino....
ReplyDeleteThis is off-topic, but has anyone seen the great advertisement that Armstrong has for its laminate flooring? It appears in this month's decorating and women's magazines. It is an awesome picture of Dino and the caption says IT ONLY LOOKS LIKE THE REAL THING. He is sitting in a chair in what looks like a den and he's wearing a tuxedo without the jacket and with the tie undone. Maybe it isn't really Dean Martin, which would explain the caption. If it isn't...well, it sure looks like his twin! How great that Armstrong would pick Dino (or his likeness) for this ad.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie Carol, yeah those ads started appearin' a few Dinomonths ago....it is a Dino-loo-a-like and Armstrong did a total of four different ads with four different celebrities....one of the other ones is Lucille Ball. Loves how our Dino is turnin' up in so many different Dinoways...
ReplyDeleteThanks, DMP. That's a Dino look-a-like! Wow! He looks exactly like him! I remember the Lucy one now, and that model didn't look that much like Lucille Ball except for the red hair.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie Carol, no problemo...just part of true Dinopalliedom...wishes that I looked that much like our Dino...btw d'ya know that the ilovedinomartin Dinoblog has a companion Dinodialogue Dinopad tagged ilovedinomartin over at yahoo...checks it out...
