Well, here we are, pallies...the tail end of August. Man o man...where do the days go?! Even months fly by like weeks! 

Hey, pals...if I gots to be honest though...Summer is hot & fun & I really dig the beach goin'...BUT...I'm kinda anticipatin' the Fall season! As youse all know...I AB SO LUTE LY love that "spooky" vibe in the air! Haha! We'll gets more into that stuff soon. 

Hey pallies...I'm not sure if the end of the month is bringin' some swingin' & singin' at some jammin' cook outs or movin' boxes into some college dorm room. Either way, pals...I know thins' might get a wee bit hectic. I'm bettin' we could ALL use a little serenity.  

For today's Serenade, thinks' I'm gonna ask our BESTEST pal, Dean, to start windin' this Summery season down with some COOL COOL & VERY laid back croonin'. "Fools Rush In' should set the Dino-mood so so PER FEC TO! 

Real mellow & calmin', pals. 

What I love 'bout this particular jam is it's tellin' of throwin' it all against the rocks...to be with a very special someone. Sensible or not...right or wrong. Now THAT's passion! Haha!! Man o' man, pallies...I better chill out, here! This is supposed to relax me! Haha!!

A home away from home & a place to hang our hats...at day's end. A quick stop...just to chill & collect our thoughts. Soak in the good & the "not so good thins'", that the day has shown. 

Maybe...just a place to clear your minds & listen to some cool cool Dino-jams. 

I'm hopin' that's what ilovedinomartin.com & the Sunday Serenades with Dino are to ALL the lovers of Dino out there. I know it is for me, mi amici. 

I thinks we ALL can use a place like that. Youse 'gree, pals? Just a comfy little spot to relax & catch our breaths. Yup...sounds good to me. 

How lucky we are, my friends...to have Dino & a place like this, to call "Home". Our own place. Away from the world's chaos. To just drift...& let life's stress melt away. Just for a moment or two. 

So, my friends...as we is grilling' & chillin' our way through Summer...let's think 'bout the nice peaceful times...that Dean brings our way. Every day. Every week. Every year.

Welcome back! 

Ahhh...that GREAT GREAT time of year is here, mi amici! Italian food...Happy people...Dancin' kiddies...& more Dino than youse can absorb in just one FANTASTICO weekend! 

Yup...youse guessed it...It's "Italian Festival"  season, here in good ol' New England! 

That bloody virus brought thins' to a screaming' halt for awhile, pallies. But...they is back! 

Man o man...I just can't thinks of a more PERFECTO way to celebrate these summery days...than to soak up these SWINGIN' SINGIN' vibes...down at the local festival with all my Dino-lovin', neighborhood pals! My paisani! 

OK...I better chill with the "Italian" thin'. It's makin' me wanna pour up the vino...& it's only 8:00am!!! Haha!! 

Can't help myself, pals! It's just such a WON DER FUL feelin' in the air. It's a time to forget life's troubles. A time to 'member what's REALLY important. Put the negative stuff on the back burner...just for a moment...& soak in the GOOD thins'! 

I know it isn't always easy, pallies...we ALL have troubles to deal with. But...I thinks I can help! 

I have a tune that is GUA RAN TEED to get youse floatin'! Thinkin' happy thoughts & gettin' that Pep back in your Step! Ha! 

Now, pals...when I thinks 'bout these FUN FUN festivals...the one thin' that seems to wrap the whole ball of Dino...food...music...& smilin' faces, up...is the Merry-Go-Round! " La Giostra"! 

It takes us back to years LONG gone by, my friends.

I think it's much much more than just appropriate...it's well deserved & a MUST I do 'nother SPECIAL "Duetin' with Dino", featurin' Tony B. 

He's the last of a bygone era, in my humble opinion, pallies. 

Guys like Tony, Dino, Frank...just aren't singers...they are TRUE legends!

First of all I wanna wish  "Happy Daddy-O Day 2023" to ALL the swingin' Dino-lovin' dad's out there!

 Man! What a COOL COOL thin' it is, pals... to be able to celebrate all the COOL COOL fathers & father figures in our lives...right in the midst of "The Month Coolness Came to Earth"!! Truly a special time of year, my friends. 

A BEA U TI FUL Spring day is perfecto to honor Dino & ALL these GREAT fellas, who mean/meant SO SO much! 

Now pallies...as youse may know by now...I pick a Special Serenade every year for today's tune. A jam that brings me back to my youngest days of Dino-dom. A familiar song that reminds me of my Dad & keeps him in my thoughts everyday. Well, as I always do...I reach for a specific kind of Dino al b um. A real blue-collar sound. Yup...my Pop was BIG into those Dino "trucker" jams! Haha!! The "C.B. radio" type tunes. A jam 'bout some down & out dude...tryin' to make his way back home or maybe some carefree fella just enjoyin' the simple life. 

Yea...those were his faves. Still cracks me up thinkin' 'bout him singin' along to these songs! He thought they were SO SO cool & I thought HE was SO SO cool for knowin' the words! Hahaha!!! What a GREAT guy Dad was! Great memories, pallies. 

Today's SPECIAL SERENADE takes me ALL the way back to the mid-70's! Man! Where'd that decade go?!

So, pallies, how's June treatin' youse so far? 

Pretty damn well here in ol' Massachusetts! 

Mornins' & evenins' a little chilly, but I cants complain a bit, my friends. The days are BEA U TI FUL! Amen to that! 

So as Spring is slowly slippin' through my fingers...I just gots to thinkin' 'bout what the Summer will hold. Plenty of hot & humid days for sure. Some beachin' & poolin', obviously. But what else? Knowin' myself...not too much! Haha!! Nah. I'm more of a chill out kinda fella. 

Probably the way our bestest pal, Dino was. 

We all read how he was more than happy just relaxin' on a golf course or watchin' TV at home. Yup, that was Dean...& that is me. 

I know...I know...I'm always lookin' for any & every little similarity 'tween Dino & myself. Haha!! But, hey! Why not?! Who better to compare to & model after? Am I right, pallies? DEFINATELY. 

And guess what else? When I'm chillin' & doin' ab so lute ly nothin'...I'm actually...usually...thinkin' 'bout this crazy life. Yea, that's me too. 

Well, pals...just so happens...that as i'm ponderin' those days & years gone by...Dean seems to be in just 'bout every thought. The background music to my life. The people I've known. The places I've gone. They all seem to somehow have Dino attached. 

What can I say, my friends? He's my main man! Haha!! 

He's my pal & my inspiration. 

A connectin' energy that links it ALL together. 

Today's Serenade..."I Love You, For Sentimental Reasons"...is one of those Dino-jams that goes through my thoughts all the time. Perfect background to my memories & PERFECTO to take me back to those GREAT GREAT easy goin' days.

 Hey pals...welcome back, & welcome to 'nother "Month Coolness Came to Earth"! 

Man o man, I am just SO SO pumped! 

Can't even believe our pal amongst pals is turnin' 106, this comin' Wednesday!

Man...What a time we've had, huh, pals? Day after day & year after year...Dino has been an ever present companion for us all. He's my "Cumpare". My friend. Swingin' through life with me. My ups, my downs. Side by side & never even a worry that he would hit splitsville. 

It might be hard to believe or even understand, to many...but to we "Dino-holics"...it's as simple & natural as olives in a martini. That's just the way it is! 

Dean is our pal. Like family, really. The COOL uncle who shows up for every party, weddin', or cook out. And when he does...MAN...what a time it is! The room wakes up! Dance floors are flooded like the party just started! 

Dino just has that effect on us. He equals FUN & GREAT TIMES! 

Now pals...I could go on & on 'bout what Dean means to me & how much happiness he's brought to my life. But...I think youse knows EXACTLY what I'm talkin' 'bout. He brings his spirit to us all.  

On June 7th, 1917...God sent us a gift. A gift that TRULY keeps on givin'. We were the lucky ones, mi amici. Most of us, anyway, can say we walked the Earth at the same time as he did. 

Now, to me...that's VERY cool! 

Of course, Dino's music & movies...TV shows & live performances, will be 'round forever, but...it's OUR generations that were here WITH him! VERY cool, indeed.

That's all we really can do! Just do our best...appreciate EVERY day we is here & make SURE to 'member those who helped get us here! That's what this day is actually ALL 'bout, pals! 'Memberin' those TRUE heroes who fought the good fight to preserve this GREAT GREAT country of ours! 

Past & present...we owe them a special prayer. 

It's ALSO a day to appreciate those PERSONAL heroes who make, or made, our lives better. Moms, Dads, family & friends...Anyone who helps us through. They too deserve praise! 

After all, mi amici...MANY sacrifices have been made to help us gets where we is! 

I can thinks of MANY today, who help/helped me, in some way, live a better life! 

Now, pallies...who more than Dino...helps us on a day to day basis...to live a better life? Few, if any! Haha!!

 Man o man, palsies...What a simply BEA U TI FUL mornin'! 

A big blue, Sunny sky & a soft, cool cool breeze flowin' through my window. Yup! I actually have my window open! Finally! Pollen or not! 

Cants' get me 'nough quiet & peaceful moments like this, pals. 

Life is usually pretty hectic for Danny G. All of us, I'm sure. 

These couple hours I gets to grab...every now & then...are EXACTLY what the doctor ordered! Early mornin'. Everyone's asleep. All but Dean & me, that is. Haha!! 

We all need some "chill out" time, my friends. Keeps us sane! Haha!! 

Now...no one knew this better than our numero uno paisano, Dino! Whether he was smackin' 'round a few golf balls...enjoyin' some pasta fagioli with a special friend...or just relaxin' at home watchin' a western...Dean knew how to chill!  

Well, ol' pallies o' mine...we is SO SO fortunato...that Dino has laid the blueprints for us, to do the same exact chillin'! Yup! 

Let me gives youse just one little example, pals. 

I'm grabbing' us a little "If Love Is Good To Me", for today's O' So Soothin' Serenade. This is 'nother one of Dino's "simple living'" kinda jams.  

Now, mi amici...be warned...this tune is SO SO mellow...& SO SO smooth...youse may find yourself dazin' off into a dreamy state of TOTAL calmness, that won't be easy to shake! 

Just tell your family & friends...dog & cat...fish & parakeet..."Don't worry, pallies...I'm just chillin' with Dino & I'll catch youse later". Hahaha!!! 

Yea, my friends...this is serious tranquility here. Ha!

Let me start today's "Sunday Serenade with Dino" off with a GIGANTICO Happy Mama's Day to ALL the Dino-lovin' moms out there! 

What a BEA U TI FUL mornin' it is too! 

A happy Spring day like this is PERFECTO to help us celebrate these VERY special ladies! After all, pals...we wouldn't be jammin' right here...right now...with Dino...if it wasn't for Dear ol' Mom! 

And likes I ALWAYS says...Moms come in ALL forms, pallies! She can be an Aunt...an older Sister...or just a good good friend who's helped you through tough times.  

Now, my friends...I wanted to share a SO SO PRETTY & SO SO FUN  little tune for this LOVELY LOVELY Day! Well...I keeps goin' back to a BEA U TI FUL Italiano-type croon...which I seem to pick every year, Haha!! 

Now, pallies o' mine...I know Dino croons SO SO many pretty & fun jams...I pretty much had my pick! But, pallies...this one has a special little somethin' 'bout it. Maybe it's 'cause the "mama" in these lyrics isn't a person...but a place. Yes...Bella Roma! Beautiful Rome! 

What a place it must be! Huh, pals?

"Mama Roma" is a tune 'bout two sweethearts meetin' & fallin' head over heels in love in this VERY special city! Ahhh pals...SO ROMANTICO! Haha!!

 Now THIS is Spring, pallies! 

Man o' man! 

The rain is gone & nothin' but BEA U TI FUL blue skies & warm, gentle breezes...just breezin' 'round! These are the days I live for, mi amici. 

Even the very air I'm breathin' today silently SCREAMS Spring! Haha!! "Silently screams?" Is that even possible, pallies? Ha! Well...that's how it feels to me, anyway. 

All a day like this needs...to be perfecto...is the soft, silky croon of our man amongst men, Dino! 

Now, my friends...I know I don't need to tell youse this...but...when you mix warm, Springtime weather...with Dean's easy-listenin', swoonin' type croon...youse just can't help but gettin' that feelin' that L.O.V.E is in the air. 

After all, pals...Spring IS the season of amore! Agree? Yea...no doubt. 

This is the time of year when all new & wonderful thins' start to happen, my friends. Start to bloom. Flowers...trees...and yes, even romance! Haha!! 

Well...get out there! Get out there & LIVE, pals! It's GLORIOUS! Haha!!

Haven't heard this one in a lonnnng time, pals. 

I think it's gonna get all my fellow Dino-philes floatin' on air & put some stars in your eyes. Dino just has that affect on us. 

Found this one on a 1973 vinyl 45. Released on Reprise. "Amor Mio". 

Can't waits' to get this one spinnin', pallies! Let it play over & over...& inhale every note! 

This is the GOOD stuff!

 Welcome back, mi Dino-lovin' amici! So very happy youse stopped by. 

Well, pals...looks like April is windin' down & a new Springtime month is headin' our way! 

Each new day seems to be gettin' more & more BEA U TI FU! Truly a blessin' from above, my friends. 

Let's get some Dino-tunes flowin' & make the most of this SWEET & COOL COOL time of year! 

"I wish you bluebirds in the Spring, to give your heart a song to sing." Man...that says it ALL, my friends. Dino wishing us somethin' as peaceful as that REALLY says a lot to me. It's one of the simplest thoughts in the world. Calmin'...happy...tranquil even! Haha!! But, man o man...it's great! 

It tells us that the smallest thins' in this world can be the BIGGEST treasures! 

I've said it before & I'll say it 'gain & 'gain! The BESTEST thins' in life don't come from a fancy store or a sparklin' showroom. They come from our heart & soul, my friends. 

Some of the GREATEST joys in my life & MOSTEST specialist moments have been quiet & calm. No fantastico party...no over-the-top celebration...just a sunny day with a special friend or a relaxin' night with some Dino & vino! 

That's the good stuff, pallies. Embrace it all. 

So as we welcome in a new WON DER FUL month...let's keep those "easy, breezy days" in mind. Their what REALLY matter, mi amici.
