On This Day In Dino-history: July 14, 1958

Hey pallies, likes we are powerfully pumped to be able to return once 'gain, in a matter of a few  days to that all thin's musical history blog "The Olde Disc Jockey's Almanac" where our great great pallie Mr. Bob Dearborn daily blogs delightful details of events of note each and every day of the year.   Today Bob reminds all use Dino-holics that it was 62 years 'go on this day, July 14, in the year of our Dino 1958 that our most beloved Dino recorded one of his incredible Italiano hits, "Volare (Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu)."

Likes as most of youse Dino-addicts woulda knows our Dino was makin' discs for Capitol Records at this point in his career, so the recordin' took place at the historic Capitol Tower studios in Hollywood.
We have found an impressive image of an original copy of the sheet music for this most delightful Dino-croon as well a youtube vid of our Dino croonin' the tune to add for your Dino-pleasure.

Once 'gain we sez our thank you very much to Mr. Bob Dearborn for keepin' us up to date on so so many hugely historic marvelous musical dates in the life and times of our one, our only Dino.

My fave classic Dino-jam. This tune...in my opinion...truly blended the sounds of Italian melodies & American pop music. It created a whole new genre of easy listenin' Italiano party songs.
