On This Day In Dino-history: July 14, 1958


Hey pallies, likes we are powerfully pumped to be able to return once 'gain, in a matter of a trio of days to that all thin's musical history blog "The Olde Disc Jockey's Almanac" where that great great pallie Mr. Bob Dearborn daily blogs delightful details of events of note each and every day of the year.   Today Bob reminds all use Dino-holics that it was on this day, July 14, in the year of our Dino 1958 that our most beloved Dino recorded one of his greatest of great Italiano hits, "Volare (Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu)."

Likes as most of youse Dino-addicts woulda knows our Dino was makin' discs for Capitol Records at this point in his career, so the recordin' took place at the historic Capitol Tower studios in Hollywood.
